Sounds like the rather obvious similarity before the First Batman
Abomination ("Battyman Begins" or some such dreck) and (I think) /The
Shadow/ -- young man travels to Orient, picks up skills, returns home,
is followed by enemies, uses skills to defeat enemies.

It doesn't seem to have an app for my Fire HD 6; the web site
[https://www.retrocrush.tv/devices] suggests it is mostly for TV sets.

The first isn't available; the second is on Freevee. Both are series,
not movies. I put the second name on a scratch list as a possible
series to watch, as Freevee (as IMDbTV) starting working for me when I
subscribed to Prime.

>WICKED CITY is a bit like Men in Black but with demons instead of aliens

And is available on Pluto TV and Tubi. Tubi won't work (the app "isn't
available" for my Fire HD 6, I tried when trying to stream /The Case
of the Lovely Legs/ (Plex had both it and an app that was available,so
I was able to stream it). I just installed the Pluto TV app, and this
will make for a good test subject, as it were. Not for a while,
though.

>DEMON CITY SHINJUKU is boring.

I'm sorry to hear that, but then, it appears that it is also ...
unavailable for streaming.

The streaming industry is a confusing hodgepodge of sites, not really
the ideal from my point of view.

Thanks for the information.

Technically GOKU MIDNIGHT EYE is a series I guess but with only two 50
minute OVA's ever released it is shorter than a lot of modern movies.

That is strange,as I remember it I have both of them on my old fire
tablet but I do not think I have watched anything on them in over a
year. Maybe they took Tubi off since then and I failed to notice.

IMDb has it as a "TV Mini Series", dated "1989-" (which, to me,
implies it is still going) but only 2 episodes.

Tubi is still listed in the App Store, but was said to not be
available for my device when I tried to acquire it. This was not very
long ago; the streaming of one Perry Mason mid-30s movie caused me to
purchase the entire set of six (on Warner Archive).

The last time I checked (and it has been quite a while), the Fire HD 6
was no longer available for purchase. I don't recall why I checked on
this; it was and still is performing quite well.

That most likely is a matter of IMDb not seeing an official cancellation
announcement for an obscure show and not having the staff to properly
maintain their information.

Mileage varies, I actually like G2 _better_ than G1...with the caveat that they are effectively two different genres. Same cast, same background world, but the 'feel' is different.

G1 is straight comedy, with the occasional SFnal, fantasy, and horror tinge here and there. It's basically all played for laughs. And it is _hilarious_. Ghostbusters 1 is a far better comedy movie than Ghostbusters 2.

Ghostbusters 2 has plenty of comedy elements and often plays for laughs, but it's not a pure comedy, it's comedic horror, which is a related but different genre (or maybe better a different _subgenre_ ) than the straight comedy of G1. G2 is a far better comedic horror movie than G1.

Apples and oranges.

It's more likley that, given the wiki origins[1] of IMDB (before
"wiki" was in the lexicon), whoever first entered the listing
didn't have that information (and, conceivably, it was added in
1990, when the show was still potentially in production), and
nobody has touched it since.

[1]It began as a searchable list in rec.arts.movies in 1990, moved
to the web in 1993, incorporated in 1996, and was sold to Amazon in
1998. It's still largely operated as a wiki, though there's full
time staff now as well. Wikipedia has a pretty comprehensive
history:

No, I don't. Next question?
