It could be true if the discussion in this thread was about babies post
birth. This thread has been about fetus in utero.

Now off you go to the kf with the rest of the trolls.

We already have a President, the President of the Senate.

Why not continue to call the Head of State the Governor-General?

The term by itself does not necessarily signify a monarchical or
republican form of government.

And yes, the head of state should be selected by the parliament, not the
public. Otherwise it will be a radical change to the form of government,
which nobody even attempts to argue for.

Not a problem .... call them 'The Head-Huncho' for all it matters to me!

I think The People should have their pick .... otherwise you are,
effectively, just getting the Politicians elect a Politician to rule
over and above the Prime Minister.

I'm suggesting 'The Head-Huncho' should just be a figurehead, much like
The King/Queen is nowadays!!

Yes, you are being stupid cause the discussion, here, is about the
recent census results which showed "**Yep. The figures that came through
today suggest that more than 50% of Aussies report that they are
*non-Christians* and 39% report *no religion* ." ... as posted at the
top of this reply!!

So 'Christians' were/are followers of Christ .... who was supposedly
born in the Year Zero, stupid!!

NOT discussing Jews!!

Jesus “taught with authority” (Matthew 7:29), and the risen Lord gave
his Apostles a share in his authority when he commissioned them to
make disciples from all the nations by teaching what he had commanded
them (Matthew 28:18–20).

Tiberius Caesar who reigned for 22 years,
and his last year was AD 37. wrote:

Britain which have never been penetrated by Roman arms, have received
the religion of Christ."

As Winston Churchill once said;

The Monarchy is important,
not for the power it wields,
but for the power it denies others.

Which is why I mention in my response "(or whatever they call it
now-adays!! CE, maybe!!".

time-frame as 'anno domini' which translates, roughly, as 'in the year
of the Lord'

No, I don't think 'Jor Biden' (Your error, Petzl) is what I'm
suggesting, cause I believe The PotUS can put forward legislation and
their Party Politicians would get that law enacted, or at least try!

My 'The Head-Huncho' would just be a figurehead, much like The
King/Queen *IS* now!

Nope, he did get Congress to go on a spending binge.

If the head of state is elected by the people, he will be an elected
politician by definition, with the authority that comes with that.

>
> I'm suggesting 'The Head-Huncho' should just be a figurehead, much like

He will be a figurehead if selected by parliament. If directly elected,
then he will have all the power as stated in the Constitution. It will
transform the system from a Westminster parliamentary democracy to a
US-style Presidential system. No one wants that.

I agree completely. And that is why I voted against it the last time.
I can't accept some horrible political hack, with the possibility of
exercising some nasty reserve powers down the line, handpicked by some
extremist government like for instance the ones lead by the Lying Rodent
nor the Mad Monk nor Scotty from Marketing nor Voldemort the wannabee
Führer of OZ.

Totally agree. The Head of State should only have ceremonial functions
and should be selected from strictly non-political nominees and then
voted into office by the people.

The cost of a rigged and stolen election, the Biden Democrats borrowed
so much money to do this and is why USA inflation is going through the
roof.

LOVE HIM OR HATE HIM
Donald Trump has shown the entire nation irrefutably,
explicitly & beyond any shadow of a doubt
that U.S. government & their media propagandists are
corrupt to the core.
Our Legal System is CORRUPT, our Judges (and Justices!) are highly
partisan, compromised or just plain scared, our Borders are OPEN, our
Elections are Rigged, Inflation is RAMPANT, gas prices and food costs
are “through the roof,” our Military “Leadership” is Woke, our Country is going to HELL, and Michael Sussmann is not guilty. How’s
everything else doing? Enjoy your day!!!
Donald J Trump

As Winston Churchill once said;

The Monarchy is important,
not for the power it wields,
but for the power it denies others.

Precisely...but!
You are so naughty pointing that "embarrassing" fact out to Petz.
He must be really conflicted...on one hand his Xtian religious
fundamentalism and on the other his unrelenting neo-Nazi Antisemitism
(adhering to the mantra that those Jews in Auschwitz deserved what was
coming to them) are in constant war with each other within his
inebriated misfiring brain.

Have pity on him will you (not that I will).
