The numbers of MSPs reflect the proportion of voters for each party rather
more accurately than FPTP at Westminster. And the system in Scotland was
devised with a specific intent to *avoid* an SNP 'super-majority'. But with
just the greens - with whom they have most in common - they now essentially
have one.

It is hardly a "one party state", but it does reflect the expressed votes
of the population rather wellcompared with Westminster.
