If you view it in a browser it might get downloaded to a cache. That would be
in your Library folder, under Safari (or whatever browser you use).

Seen it before, had the choice of download or sign in, so I downloaded.
It is in my downloads folder. Still nothing in my iCloud Drive. I don't
know what would have happened had I been already signed in to iCloud.

I wonder if the poster calling itself 'nospam' would explain matters to
YOU. Would you please ask him to explain what he/she thinks could have
caused uninvited links to appear in an iCloud Drive - especially as
neither you nor I can now replicate matters? TIA
