In the 1971 war Pakistan had lost badly. So to encourage their ally Pakistan the US gave them their new F16 planes in the late seventies. These planes had the capability to fly low and drop nukes, so were a potent threat. Low flying detection radars were needed, and I worked on that radar's antenna system, an indigenous development, from scratch. It is still under production, the antenna I mean.
