**Fuck no. Last time we went up, I handed the wheel to my partner. I
gave her instructions on the way up. She told me at one point that there
was a Mazda closing up behind us. I said: "It's only a Mazda, stomp on
it. Trust in your car." She did and she left the Mazda in the dust (as
you'd expect). When we reached the top of the Pass, she had to pull
over, since she was shaking from the adrenaline rush. Not relaxing at all.

So you were one of the arseholes terrorising everybody on the Hume,
Monaro, and Snowy highways. Work all day Friday, go like hell to get to
Thredders before the bars closed. Ski all day Saturday, party all
Saturday night, ski all day Sunday then go like hell back to Sydney
while tired as hell.

Still I suppose that the skiers helped the NSW finances, the Goulbourn
and Cooma cops had a field day, the wreckers also had a good supply of
parts if you didn't mind washing the blood off.

I never liked going to Sydney (from Canberra) for the weekend in winter
against the skiers, especially along Lake George, it was bloody
dangerous with the idiot skiers overtaking in stupid places.

**"Terrorising"? I don't think so. However, if you consider driving
quickly and safely everywhere, EXCEPT 20km either side of Goulburn
(because I value/d my driver's licence), then I guess so. And no, I try
not to drive tired. My ski trips were usually a week at a time, as
weekend skiers annoy the Hell out of me (we call them 'moving gates').
Oh and I am a non-drinker. So, no driving drunk for me. Ever.

FWIW: I have never been booked for any traffic offence when driving from
Sydney to the snow. Also, I was last booked (for speeding in a 50kph
zone) in 2006. I used to drive the same route twice a week for 15 years.
The arseholes changed the speed limits and I failed to notice. The
camera got me. So, I am not a crazy driver. I mostly remain within
posted limits at all times. Mostly.
