And don't all get jailed if the ship does an unexpected stop in
an unscheduled port because the weather isnt suitable at one
of the scheduled ports, even for non EU pax like Australians
or the Philipino crew.

Just been reading the memoirs of someone who with his dad
road a couple of Ukrainian BMW motorbike and sidecar copys
from Austria to Cape Town, down the length of Africa. In one
place in southern africa, when moving between two countrys,
you get an automatic 1 day visa to pass thru their country.

At some point the crew have to board the ship.

It could be any port they board at, since the ship is always at seas
going from port to port.

Therefore, crew will inevetably have to go to one of the cities where
the ship has docked, in order to board.

It's quite possible they will have to fly to this city if they don't
live there.
