Yes. let it grow long, wrap it around your face and women will ask
`What is the purpose of that,?' and you can smile enigmatically and
wink.

Both are useless against infection, most recent analysis of the data
shows.

How long do these droplets stay 'moist'.
I too thought of the vir(ii/uses?) as clinging to (relatively)great big
moisture droplets then I thought about the droplets drying out allowing
the Vir(ii/usses?) to continue through the mask.
I, and I daresay most others, did not know about the 45 minute
lifespan of these masks (touted else group).

Genuine questions :-
Is the 45 minutes enough time to NOT let the droplets dry out but
still get your shopping done ?
What happens if you are visiting somewhere and your visit is longer
than 45 minutes do you change masks or do you just keep wearing the same
one ?

If you believe that is how I act then fair enough and if you think the
standard bit of cloth most masks are made of, help, in any significant
way (I am not including 'proper' N95 and surgical masks here. Though I
do not think they are as effective as some people think), you carry on,
I am not one to nay say your beliefs however :-

I have already stated I wear a mask (though I believe it doesn't do much).

" However as I feel masks are not detrimental to me (no filters and
none of these paper types) I wear them in shops
etc as it negates having to explain every two minutes why you are not
wearing one. "

I have a tag that I hang around my neck that says,'I am exempt from

It's good. It scares people in queueueueses.

When the droplets dry out the virus particles are left dying in
among the fibres of the mask - the next trip through the washing machine
finishes them off. They're not self propelled so once they land somewhere
they tend to stay there. Some may fall out and indeed some get through
complete with droplet, but they don't get spread in a big cloud in
everyone else's breathing air.

The worm 'virii', or even 'viri' does not exist: 'virus' is a noun which
cannot have a plural in Latin: it means 'filth', which doesn't really
have a plural in English TAAAW. pedantically one could make a case for
it in English, but in Latin, I understand, one can't.

Oh, I dunno: Wasn't there a Frod Perfect? Morphed into the Frod
Concertina eventually, didnit?

Nah, over time, one of my fiends had every model of the Concertina, and
most of them were left hand drive. He did that 'cos LHD ones were so
much cheaperer. I did once have reason to be pleased about it when (for
the sake of making a witless statement to the beaks) I sat where the
driver of a right-hand drive one would have done to ascertain whether
his statement in court could have been true. It couldn't have, though I
could see that his mistake was most probably an honest one.

Jings! I just watched some episodes. Wasn't life so slow then(1979 not
1910) no frenetic editing, stories have time (maybe too much)to breathe.
Acting/screenplay of the ' "look a fly" followed by twenty seconds of a
fly landing on a scone' school of Cinematography.

Isn't unforgetery a funny thing?
I unforget lots of 'planes and virtually no horses.
Whereas in the two episodes I watched (just now)there was virtually no
planes and the stories revolve around Flambard's horses and hunts.

Maybe I unforget it as it was a Sunday night thing and I was getting
ready for school on the Monday so it was on in the background and I only
paid attention when something interested me.

But for most of '79 I was in 5th year at school so
was probably more concerned with exams and what I was going to do with
my life, than what was happening in a telly programme .

It is basically 1910 to 1918, but twenties seemed to have a ring to
it.
