Hear, Hear! I don't agree with every word he says but he has consistently
talked more sense than any other UK politician for a long time. I doubt any
other politician is more honest, other than Martin Bell, maybe. This

I clearly recall Coutts touting for freshers to open accounts on my first
day at Uni. There couldn’t have been many who met the financial
requirements even then. I suspect the requirement is ‘flexible’.

( At the time I’d not heard of Coutts and had already signed up with
another bank but I remember their sales pitch. )

He then sabotaged BREXIT.

The decision to leave had already been made. Only the LibDems threatened to
overturn it. The other Remainers - including May and Boris decided to
betray us by wrecking the terms.

don't like the result of yesterday's bye election which allowed socialists
in but it was a valid vote and I have to accept it.

The difference is that the by-election appoints a new member of
Parliament, whereas the referendum was only advisory.

Many Leavers didn't understand this and it led to pointless arguments.

It is really silly to keep saying the referendum was only advisory. All
the major parties agree to abide by the result and it would have been
political suicide not to have done so. And let's not have all the crap
about what sort of leaving, there were two options, leave or stay, we
chose leave, we left.

It is unlikely the 23.7% swing seen in Selby will happen across the
country in the GE, but Labour only need a 13% swing to get a majority.
The current predictions are that there is a 98% probability of a Labour
majority and a zero percent probability of a Conservative majority.
