You say on page 26 that “Technē thus appears to consist of at least two
quite separate operations:

- The capacity to immanently apprehend the function which involves a
certain immanence to the causal order, and
- A more specific materialist know-how (epistasthai) whose task is to put
into effect a change in the causal mechanism precipitated via the
function.”

My greek isn’t very comprehensive, but I think that the difference lays
between ῐ̔́στημῐ (hístēmi) and στᾰ́σῐς (stásis) as perspectives of standing
where the later is an instance within the hypostasis ὑπό (hupó, “down,
under”) + στάσις (stásis, “standing”) as state / condition or statute / law
where every instance is made in conformity to law of nature as causal
order.

Given ὑπό what then is the possibility of δει as necessity

it is necessary, there is need of, it behooves, is right and proper
- necessity lying in the nature of the case
- necessity brought on by circumstances or by the conduct of others toward
us.
- necessity in reference to what is required to attain some end
- a necessity of law and command, of duty, equity

Can one apprehend the hypostasis with its immanent causality and action
necessity as prerogative of duty?

BING CHAT GPT @ 1604 HOURS ON 8 DECEMBER 2023: “I apologize, but I don’t
have the capability to apprehend the hypostasis. Thank you for your
understanding.🙏”
