Our club had one of our members in the Christmas parade. Another member drove him in a Mini convertible. Nobody could drive standard except that one old guy. I asked him about it. He said he hadn't driven a stick in 20 years but you never forget how to do it - evidently. I could have done it but wasn't around. The driver said it was a lot of fun. That's good, that guy doesn't smile nearly enough.

My friend has got a long Chevy work van. It's over 20 years old and the frame is creaky. The transmission acts like it's not long for this world. He seems happy as a clam driving that thing. He bought his wife a Mercedes and is happy as a clam driving it. Come to think of it, he always seems to be happy as a clam. How peculiar! When you unlock the doors of the Mercedes, the mirrors on the door projects an image of the Mercedes logo on the ground. It's kind of goofy but also kind of awesome.

We used one injection molder for all the years that I served in my last
job. We had some others, but this company was the main molder, by far.
We also had close personal ties with them.
Once, my boss and I stopped by to discuss business, and we noticed a new
Mercedes in the owner's parking spot. My bosses first reaction was, "I'm
paying too much."

I ran a personal website for fifteen years, back in the day. It was W3C
compliant but HTML 4.2 IIRC. I used to spend quite some time in alt.html.
