Yes, that's why you didn't see it.

The admin is using Spamassasin to ID googlespam. The program is still
learning what is spam and what isn't. Obvious downside, some
gogglegroupers are having their posts cncelled, along with the spam.
In the last 8 cancels to RFC, 1 was spam and 7 were known posters that
use gogglegroups (the sky is falling - the sky is falling).

Don't know where you got that idea. Have used eternal-september for
decades (originally motzarella). For me down time has been minimal and
is quickly fixed. Worth every penny I pay for it.

Same here. E-S would have random hang-ups, or occasionally go out for a
few hours. Block-news has been much more stable, likely due to the
small fee for service.

often causing "problems" for users. I don't see that as a problem,
just a cost of business.

Even my ISP has down time. Sometimes scheduled, sometimes not.
That's annoying, but have no choice . . . must endure it.

IMO - folks that have problems with eternal-september are using
Thunderbird. It really is designed to be an email client. Although
it does NNTP as an after thought, things go wrong for no apparent
reason. There are better news reders out there.

I stopped using NNTP servers because of their unreliability. My guess is that these servers are a lot better these days because they're using cloud servers instead of an ad hoc collection of old and junk machines in someone's basement. Services like Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform are a lot more reliable than old machines in someone's basement - I hope.
