I tried Agent, and it wasn't working for me. Other than Outlook Express
on my old travel laptop (LOL) I haven't tested other Usenet clients.

Thunderbird seems to work. I hear people with newer versions having
issues with updates, but my ancient version seems to keep working fine,
knock on wood.

It has been working for me since the dawn of time. I don't think Agent
selectively works for some people and not for others.

Thunderbird isn't my preference either. Too bulky and only a tiny bit
more flexible than Xananews. Setup is tricky compared to Xananews.

Allow me to rephrase: It didn't suit my needs. Perhaps I could have
re-trained myself, but I didn't like it.

I don't find Agent very intuitive, but I'm used to it. The problem
with Thunderbird is that it also does email. Sooner or later, I'd send
an email to a newsgroup. And then I'd have to kill all of you.
