I never denied climate change. I simply pointed out that at the end of
the last ice age the glaciers where in my back yard and have been
receding every since and that our local weather has not demonstrated a
constant change one way or another.

It's scary for the people in Iceland these days. My son and DiL picked a
good time to visit. DiL presented a paper at a conference and my son
went along for the ride. Her air fare, hotel and meals were covered. He
only had to pay for his airfare and meals. They got back last Wednesday.
Now there is a volcano threatening to blow at any minute and it's only
about 20 miles from the Reykjavik airport.

Nature does that all the time, it's called volcanism!

And forest fires and swamp gas, etc..

And yes...as ever...CO2 remains but 3% of our atmospheric gas euation.

Please tell us you don't believe 3% drives the other 97% - please!

Correlated causally directly to solar flares and the peak of our sunspot cycle in 2025 duh.

I think you may like being on the equator after the rapildy approaching pole shift and attendant crustal displacement...

You feel he was alive back then, or you just don't care for him noting the historical extent of the Laurentian ice sheet?

Wanna know what happens to Asatrailer after the pole shift?

Lol.

Ever heard of Iluka?

That's nothing to do with climate - changing or not! And that number is
not particularly high either.

The number is historically not high, true, it does however have some impact on climate.

Look up the climatic aftermath of Krakatoa (East of Java).

A group of about 20 of us were headed to Tybee Island for a winter
kayaking vacation. One of the women in the group planned it and made the
arrangements. It was a little better than half way to Tybee Island. She
found a place next to the highway with lots of vacancies and a pretty
good rate. If I were headed down that way I would do it again because
it worked out well for us.

I remember you posting about that kayaking trip. One of the women was
vegan and difficult to please when it came to cooking/dining when you
were all at Tybee. This area did have a brief sort of icy thing that
occurred before you got there but it was over with quickly.

There's enough fat groups represented in that pie to keep any peckish frozen tundra snowbird comfy, eh?

I am not sure if she was the one to please of the group of women who
expected the other 2 dozen of us to accommodate her. The vegan is a very
nice woman and she does does the vegan thing for herself. I found the
easiest way around it was to decide on a place my wife and I were going
and telling people they were free to come with us.

This area did have a brief sort of icy thing that

Yes indeed. There had been an abnormal cold snap. I left snow and ice
and it was like late spring in southern VA and then like summer in
Tybee.... our summer not your sauna like heat and humidity.

Ah, I didn't tie in the 2 trips.
