The sound of a Missle crusier heading for Davey Jones Locker.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

Let's hope it doesn't have any nukes aboard or access to the Black Sea may not be worth fighting for.

Nuclear warheads are fairly well contained and the water will not
cause them to go off or leak. It does present a terrorist threat tho.
We would certainly hope they were recovered by someone who would not
threaten the world with them.
The reality is it is unlikely they had nuclear weapons on that kind of
ship but who knows. You couldn't trust the Russians to tell us.

I just wish they were more able to reach out and touch those Russian artillery pieces and missile launching sites, not to mention those long slow moving columns.

I think they were harassing those columns with some kind of standoff
weapons if it was just mortars.
They are pretty smart to stay on defense tho. In the open field the
Russians have a better chance of killing them. That is how that same
gang of Ukrainians bogged down the Germans until the Russians could
turn them around at Kursk.
It does sound like we are sending them some heavy artillery. I am
just not sure how long it will survive if Russia owns the sky.

Maybe the CAF will go establish the no fly zone ;-)

That is impossible to prove, or disprove.  If I *could* bet, I would say
you are very wrong.

We can put this in perspective. Canada has sent them $C 30 million. in
non lethal aid and they just pledged $25 million more, for non-lethal
aid.

https://www.canada.ca/en/global-affairs/news/2022/02/canada-sending-additional-25m-military-aid-to-support-ukraine.html

OTOH
This is what Biden says we sent.

*****************************
The new $800 million assistance package includes:

800 Stinger anti-aircraft systems;
2,000 Javelin, 1,000 light anti-armor weapons, and 6,000 AT-4
anti-armor systems;
100 Tactical Unmanned Aerial Systems;
100 grenade launchers, 5,000 rifles, 1,000 pistols, 400 machine
guns, and 400 shotguns;
Over 20 million rounds of small arms ammunition and grenade
launcher and mortar rounds;
25,000 sets of body armor; and
25,000 helmets.

In addition to the weapons listed above, previous United States
assistance committed to Ukraine includes:

Over 600 Stinger anti-aircraft systems;
Approximately 2,600 Javelin anti-armor systems;
Five Mi-17 helicopters;
Three patrol boats;
Four counter-artillery and counter-unmanned aerial system tracking
radars;
Four counter-mortar radar systems;
200 grenade launchers and ammunition;
200 shotguns and 200 machine guns;
Nearly 40 million rounds of small arms ammunition and over 1
million grenade, mortar, and artillery rounds;
70 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWVs) and other
vehicles;
Secure communications, electronic warfare detection systems, body
armor, helmets, and other tactical gear;
Military medical equipment to support treatment and combat
evacuation;
Explosive ordnance disposal and demining equipment; and
Satellite imagery and analysis capability.

In addition to the U.S.-produced short-range air defense systems the
Ukrainians have been using to great effect, the United States has also
identified and is helping the Ukrainians acquire additional,
longer-range systems on which Ukraine’s forces are already trained, as
well as additional munitions for those systems.
***********************************
https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2022/03/16/fact-sheet-on-u-s-security-assistance-for-ukraine/

So Canada is sending them some stuff to hide behind and we are sending
them things that go bang.

Ukraine wants things that go bang, the bigger the bang the better like
a 155 howitzer. The only question I have had is how long can they keep
them when Russia owns the air. We gave them something to shoot down
aircraft.

SNERK!
You did see that Feb 28th date on the gov't of Canada release?
I thought you were one of the few factual posters in here.

I hope you're watching CNN today. They just interviewed a former Special Operations Commander in the US Marines. He's now in KYIV trying to assist the Ukrainian military. He says the US effort is a shit show over there with all your donations sitting in Lviv, not getting to the front lines where needed. Other reports say USvgas no way to track where those weapons go...hopefully not into Russian hands or onto the Black Market.
