Say what one will about different chassis setups and tyre management,
several '40 lap' shyte softs destructed at 30 laps.

That said, it was an entertaining finish, though not for fundamental
reasons.

The several that mattered. No team acknowledgement of debris, so...

Over to Pirelli to cover for their shyte tyres and asses.

Just one aspect of the pathetic rules and state F1 is in.

"Several" was deliberately misleading.

It was TWO.

Lack of team acknowledgement when the tires had yet to be examined means...

....precisely nothing.

Pirelli builds the tires that the FIA asks for.

I agree that F1 has problems.

Subjective rules.

Rules that prevent racers from simply racing all out...

....yup. Problems.

But until we actually KNOW what happened, let's leave off the bullshit,
shall we?

The amaz...

....no.

The utterly predictable thing is you think that was clever.

'Pirelli suspects the two tyre failures at Sunday's Azerbaijan Grand
Prix were caused by debris, but was not willing to draw a firm
conclusion until a full investigation has taken place at its base in
Milan this week.

....

The similarities of the two accidents raised questions over the reason
for the failures, but a cut found on the left rear tyre from Lewis
Hamilton's car could provide the answer.

The cut on Hamilton's tyre was not deep enough to result in a failure,
but suggests debris somewhere on the track damaged the tyres on the cars
of Stroll and Verstappen.

"We found a cut on the inside shoulder of the rear left tyre used by
Hamilton in the same stint.

"The cut was quite deep and big -- probably 6-7 cm -- but not cutting
the construction, so the tyre was still in one piece."

"Just the tread is cut [on Hamilton's tyre], and when there was the red
flag and Lewis came to the pit lane and changed the tyres we were able
to find the cut."

"The left rear is not the most stressed in Baku, as talking about the
tyres it is obviously rear right [that is most stressed]."

"This is the preliminary investigation."

Isola said the debris theory was backed up by the nature of the
failures, which happened suddenly and with no warning from tyre pressure
sensors on the cars.

"There was no sign, or any warning, according to the teams," he added.
"We have to receive the telemetry from them, but they told me there was
no warning, no vibration, nothing to think there could be something in
the tyres."

"Consider that the tyres fitted on the cars that crashed were back in
the garage and in our fitting area just minutes ago, we need a bit of
time to analyse them -- I don't want to give any preliminary conclusion."

"But it seems it is a cut due to debris. It is not a more-stressed tyre
and we have evidence of another cut in the same position [on Hamilton's
tyre]."

"Both the accidents happened on more or less the same part of the
circuit and a few laps difference, so we have other cars with the same
number of laps, same tyres, without any issues."

But... ...hey.

What are actual facts and logic compared to your "shyte", right?

Shall we wait for (self-serving) Pirelli comment?

Instead of the usual Canadian whinge/diatribe.

What can produce tyre cuts?

Feel free to provide a short list.

How many other tyres displayed cuts? Produced by what?

If you know. (You don't.)

First principles: This season has been punctuated by shyte tyres.

Surely, you've heard of variance there-about?

And if not, variance in HAM's Turn one braking. LMFAO.

Yeah... ...he accidentally hit (or forgot to turn off) a switch that

THAT's relevant to this discussion.

Have you ever even been driven around a race track?

You've clearly never done it yourself.

Why would it matter?

Fact: two cars suffered left rear blow outs.

Fact: one other car was found to have a deep cut in the left rear tire.

>>>

Really? Where?

Quote it.

Because here's what I can quote. Lewis Hamilton and his race engineer on
team radio played during the F1 broadcast and speaking afterward:

'Hamilton, who said sorry to his team over the radio, pulled up in 15th
place as his 54-race run of finishing in the points came to an end.

He then asked: "Did I have the magic on?", to which his race engineer
replied: "Yeah, it looks like it was knocked back on".

Hamilton replied: "I could have sworn I switched it off."

Hamilton later added that he knocked the special switch - designed to
heat up tyres and brakes on the way to the grid - when battling with
race-winner Sergio Perez into turn one.

He said: "It was a humbling experience when we had worked so hard. At
the restart when Checo moved over, I clipped the switch and it switched
the brakes off and I went straight on.

"It is very hard to take and I am very sorry to the men and women in the
team, who worked so hard but we will come back. I had no idea it had
touched the button."'

But what would Lewis Hamilton know about it, right...

....I mean compared to the expert on everything F1 that you are?

:-)

You're not even attempting to make sense now.

You forgot CACC Formula F champion, second-fastest ever time around
Mission Raceway in an Formula F (including laps by a US SCCA Runoffs
champion)...

....and voted into the Race Drivers Committee by my peers as good enough
to instruct others.

What have you got, gutless?

:-)

What about that claim, gutless?

I claimed--correctly--that it is normal that more than one driver might
encounter a surface condition that could cut a tire...

....because driver's all drive the racing line.

There is of course some variation, and depending on just where there was
a problem on the track, that might mean that only a few drivers
encounter it.

What is incontrovertible is that Lewis Hamilton's left rear tire was
CUT. It didn't fail, but it was definitely CUT.

Three cars, two failures: all involving the same tire.

So you're too gutless to actually show your support for your claim.

Got it.

"Incontrovertable"! LMFAO!

You heard that from Pirelli, did you? (Before they burned the offending
self-destructing shyte tyre.)

Sure you did.

Yup.

You know Pirelli "burned" a tire, do you?

How?

Because if you can't show how you know that, you're not just gutless.

You're a lying prick.

> Sure you did.

I first heard it from Pirelli...

....but it was confirmed by the Mercedes team:

'Both Max Verstappen and Lance Stroll saw their races end early when
their left-rear tyres failed at high speeds down the main straight.
Mercedes boss Toto Wolff confirmed Hamilton narrowly escaped a similar fate.

"We also found a cut on Lewis' left-rear tyre which was caused by
debris," Wolff told Sky Sports.'

So come up with yet another conspiracy theory, Gutless.
