You, who's never spent a moment driving a racing car...

....you're calling me a poseur? That's rich!

Let's bring this back to the facts:

Three cars had damage to their left rear tires.

Two of them suffered failure, so we don't yet know what caused the
damage in the first place.

Two separate sources report that the third—Lewis Hamilton's—had a deep
cut in the tire.

Those are all facts, gutless.

Learn to deal.

At the risk of popping my head up for target practice...

I wonder if someone is looking at racing lines and track conditions. If they all had a similar cut, it's possible that some defect on the track damaged the tire as opposed to the generic "debris." It should be easy to see if there were a bit of wire poking out of a curb or some such and all three cars took the same line across that particular bit of track.

That seems more plausible to me than the same damage occurring from random bits spread over a lap.

LOL!

11 out of 18 cars running after Stroll's crash had older tires than
Verstappen; some quite a bit older.

How is "damage from too weak a tire" more plausible?

And you get you can just look up this stuff, right?

Did you not claim that the more plausible explanation was that the tires
both failed structurally? Let me help:

'Say what one will about different chassis setups and tyre management,
several '40 lap' shyte softs destructed at 30 laps.'

That was you, right?

And this:

'First principles: This season has been punctuated by shyte tyres.'

And this:

'Right? Like they all clipped the same sharp curb with their shyte tyres?'

And THIS (with EMPHASIS added by me):

'You heard that from Pirelli, did you? (Before they burned the offending
SELF-DESTRUCTING shyte tyre.)'

That was your take on it, right?

Are you backing down from that position?

Pirelli 'red-bagged' the self-destructing shyte tyres (to be examined,
then burned, CYA PR to follow)!

It's all good, MORON!

Or maybe you think a Merc wheel man gouged the shyte tyre? They're
notoriously dodgy performers.

What say, PEDANT?

So we're completely clear:

Is it your position that Stroll's and Verstappen's left rear tires
"self-destructed?

Yes or no, gutless.

If yes, then how do you account for the fact that most of the hard
compound tires used in the race went for longer (some more than a third
longer than Stroll's) without "self-destructing"?

If the problem was the tire's construction being inadequate, how do you
explain all these tires that didn't fail (all on their second stint)?

Lando Norris C3 (41)
Charles Leclerc C3 (39)
Yuki Tsunoda C3 (39)
Nicholas Latifi C3 (39)
Carlos Sainz Jnr C3 (38)
Pierre Gasly C3 (37)
Daniel Ricciardo C3 (37)
Lewis Hamilton C3 (37)
Valtteri Bottas C3 (36)
Sergio Perez C3 (35)
Kimi Raikkonen C3 (35)

How do you explain that it was the less loaded LEFT rear tire that
failed, rather than the more highly loaded right rear tire?

Are you claiming that the cut found in Hamilton's tire was just a
coincidence...

....or are you going with conspiracy theories?

Ask Pirelli, PEDANT, and see if you believe their answer, MORON.

Why would I ask Pirelli what YOUR position on this issue is, gutless?

They didn't write this, now did they:

'You heard that from Pirelli, did you? (Before they burned the offending
SELF-DESTRUCTING shyte tyre.)'

You wrote that, so why are you now being such a gutless wonder about
saying whether your still hold to it?

It wouldn't have something the do with all the facts which you just
(gutlessly) snipped...

....would it?

I thought about that scenario but personally think that the cut in Hamiltons tyre (that they oddly
haven't shown pics of) is a red herring thrown in by Pirelli in an attempt to take speculation away
from the chance that it was their construction at fault.

At least the random shyte tyre commentators have a clue about spelling,
grammar, and word usage.

And they also doubtlessly know that carbon is not magnetic.

Yup. I wonder why people keep ignoring that (but I believe it was 14
cars that went as long or longer than Stroll without trouble):

Lando Norris C3 (41)
Charles Leclerc C3 (39)
Yuki Tsunoda C3 (39)
Nicholas Latifi C3 (39)
Carlos Sainz Jnr C3 (38)
Pierre Gasly C3 (37)
Daniel Ricciardo C3 (37)
Lewis Hamilton C3 (37)
Valtteri Bottas C3 (36)
Sergio Perez C3 (35)
Kimi Raikkonen C3 (35)
George Russell C3 (33)
Max Verstappen C3 (33)
Antonio Giovinazzi C3 (32)
Sebastian Vettel C3 (30)
