But not out of the question. Bayern have not looked good lately, Salzburg have some busy and quick attackers, I am predicting at least a draw. It is practically a derby match as well, I dunno, maybe Werner or Jesper or Bruce are there? Could be the last game of the UCL this season?

I want to say a terrible dive by Lewandowski, but I just cant say anything bad about the Polish ( it was a clear penal). Lewa converts 1-0. Lots of time left...

I cant blame Lewandowski for this penal. I think it should be considered outside the box, though initial contact may have been inside. I was OK with the run up to the kick on the first one, but I didnt like the stop -start on this one. Though not as bad as some he has taken. It dont matter none, he scored again and it is 3-0 after, like 20 minutes.

Time to see if Inter can pull it off.

I really like Arnold, a true natural skilled footballer. 0-0, but Liverpool in no harm, meanwhile Bayern 4-0.

Disappointed in Casino Salzburg, Bayern was there for the taking, they got too nervous and fouled Lewandowski too much.

Sanchez did win the ball first, but if you're going to fly into a challenge then the onus is on you to ensure that no one feels their studs on their leg after the fact. A red it definitely was not, but as a yellow I think it was the right call.

Maybe our resident referee HASM can weigh in?

I see that Inter are going out with their heads held high and all that. Well, good for the Serie A UEFA coefficient (and bad for Inter's opponents in the Serie A race) but a team with Inter's ambitions shouldn't be celebrating a defeat.

That's what I was taught multiple times in refresher meetings. Flying
in, studs showing, can't control leg once in the air, all conditions are
met for it to be either a caution or ejection.

If you look at it as an isolated incident, without the context of when
it happened, it is hard to argue that this is not at least a caution.

I would think most people questioning the caution are doing so because
it is the second caution, resulting in an ejection.

If you don't card this, you're going to have the same amount of people
on the other side complaining just as hard, and, much worse, what are
you going to do when someone on the other team does the same thing 5
minutes later? Recipe for losing control of the match.

Spot on. I think most critics of the decision are subconsciously looking at it as a red card decision, which it wasn't.

This is all on Pochettino btw. Up 2-0 until minute 75 and he leaves Mbappe, Messi, Neymar all on. Neymar in particular has been woeful all game. No sense of game management. Shockingly naive coaching.

Glenn Hoddle was the pundit on BT Sports and I liked his description of PSG's defensive howlers as "school boy errors but by school boys who've never played football before".

Never really been a Real Madrid fan but then PSG and their embarrassment of riches are very hard to root for too. These teams are basically two sides of the same coin, but as it was hilarious watching PSG snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, for tonight I'll say - Hala Madrid!
