Yet, since Wed, 5 Jan 2022 04:10:38 -0000 (UTC) Troll Doe's post ratio
to USENET (**) has been 64.5% of its posts contributing "nothing except
insults" to USENET.

** Since Wed, 5 Jan 2022 04:10:38 -0000 (UTC) Troll Doe has posted at

NYC doesn't even rank in the top 50 of most dangerous cities in the US.

The Republicunt's arguments that personal firearm rights were to protect
against a tyrannical government made more sense when they didn't also
want the State and every two-bit police dept. across the land to be way
better armed than anyone else is.

This happened because they noticed police were way better at shooting
black people. So they couldn't help but worship them and were like "Oh!
Zee State ist zumgut at shooting zee untermenschen! Heil Hitler!"

Police: "Citizen! Papiere, bitte!"

Republicunt: "Oh ja right away mein Herr, I live to serve!"

One word that won't pass you fucker's lips is the "Constitution." NY's law was CLEARLY unconstitutional by ANY reading. If you don't like how the Constitution is written there IS a procedure for changing it. Baring that, the DUTY of the Court is to follow the Constitution. You fuckers just want to interpret the Constitution whatever way the wind is blowing. Sorry, but that DOESN'T pass Constitutional muster.

JL thinks that SED has been "ruined" regularly, meanwhile Flyguy thinks
America has been "ruined" since 1865. Tough times.

Yet, since Wed, 5 Jan 2022 04:10:38 -0000 (UTC) John Dope's post ratio
to USENET (**) has been 64.6% of its posts contributing "nothing except
insults" to USENET.

** Since Wed, 5 Jan 2022 04:10:38 -0000 (UTC) John Dope has posted at
least 2251 articles to USENET. Of which 176 have been pure insults and
1279 have been John Dope "troll format" postings.

That New York law was in effect for over 100 years, so that's a major
shift (at least for New York).

Counsel is questioned about the need for self-defense being greater in
rural areas than in densely populated urban areas. In response to the
"high crime area" need for self-defense, counsel justified restricting
guns there, by saying "there are more police officers". But of course a
high crime area is a high crime area.

An argument I listened for but didn't hear... What does density of
population have to do with anything? Just because there are lots of people
in New York doesn't mean there are more people at a bar mitzvah, or a
mall, or any other gathering.

There's been lots of noise lately, but there is always something.

Anybody can filter properly labeled off-topic posts, but John doesn't
because John posts off-topic from time to time...

Cite?

My topic is electronics, and I always help people with that. I have
never called anyone stupid, or insulted anyone when discussing an
objective issue.

But I don't engage in these endless insult-fests, which I know have
driven away some good engineers.

I suppose I might find another forum, a moderated one, or just give up
public discussion of electronics.

Why do you post to s.e.d?

Compute the fraction of posts here that have anything to do with
electronic design. The on-topic fraction has degraded to near zero in
the last few years. The hundreds-long threads are always ritual insult

OK, electrical question: The yellow connectors are 400V 24A, but they don't make any bigger one. Is it safe to use for 30A briefly? Perhaps with more wires as heat sink? 3xAWG18(30A) can fit in the blue one (15A). I can add more wires and using the yellow one.

I'm still designing electronics if it makes you feel any better but I've
been too busy working lately to contribute much, sorry 'bout that.

But I'm not close to retirement age by a long shot and by the look of
things with the market etc, I'm gonna need all the working years I can
get...

Sure. Use the yellow one, for a minute or so maybe. Fat wire will heat
sink the connection.

This board has fastons for 48 volts at 25 amps from a nearby power
supply, but we're using two faston lugs and two wires for +48 and
another pair for ground. The wire resistance helps to equalize the
currents, and there will be lots of air.

Air flow makes a huge difference to connector heating.

The risk of a well-behaved trans being attacked is probably below 1
PPM/year. Riding a bicycle is far more dangerous.

There are about 40 shootings in Chicago on an average weekend. Nobody
much cares.
