More astute observers than Flyguy would notice that the trade-off the
"sane" SC is handing out for knocking down restrictive gun legislation
at the state level, is meanwhile ensuring police at all levels have as
much immunity as possible from your objections if they decide to simply
ignore what the Constitution says about your rights.

That is to say the 2nd Amendment is meaningless without the 4th, and the
4th was pretty threadbare to begin with, and gets more so every time
_fascist_ right-wingers in the judicial system or otherwise get a hold
of it.

Sure, a surge or ten won't hurt it. Even a 20A circuit breaker will take 30A for a moment.
The problem arises when elevated temperature, or arcing during connect/disconnect,
or just mechanical integrity (weakened springs) degrades performance in some way.
If you really want long-term passage of higher current, consider connectors in parallel,
just as you would if a multipin connector had to supply higher current than its contacts
were rated for.

You can't reliably crimp a fatter wire than carries 24A continuously, is my assumption of the
basis for a 24A rating.

NYC made laws in the '80s where one had to have the gun, disassembled,
in their trunk, and no ammo is allowed to be there.

Also carrying concealed was always illegal in all states until a few
started this stupid shit.

In Colorado, it was legal to carry, IF it was exposed and obvious,
absolutely not concealed. However, no one did so except on their
ranches, etc. Nobody did so in public places in cities, etc. It was
an invitation to get harassed over it.
