But talking out of both sides of your mouth and being a hypocrite, is not normal human behavior. Above you write "the house cost me $154,000 when my mother bought it". Gosh Darn Tommy boy. You are a LIAR. Did you buy the house? Or did your mother buy the house? It can't be both. Unless you paid $77 and your mother paid $77. And you were co-owners and occupants of the house. And both of your names are on the title to the house. But you have never ever said you and your Mom were both 50% owners of the house.
> >
> > Answer this Tommy boy. Did YOU pay $154K and buy the house? Or did your Mom pay $154K and buy the house?
> There you seem to have that severe memory problem again. Exactly why do you seem to interested in what I have to say and then cannot remember it correctly? How many times do I have to say that my mother contracted cancer when radiation treatments and chemo therapy was considered "R&D" and medical insurance wouldn't pay for it. So I cashed in a million dollars I had in a stock option and she paid for her treatments and bought her new house with the remainder. I made that million dollar stock option when I was still a technician. Imagine what it would have been had I been an engineer at that time.

I'm pretty sure this is the very first time you have ever said this:
"How many times do I have to say that my mother contracted cancer when radiation treatments and chemo therapy was considered "R&D" and medical insurance wouldn't pay for it."

So it seems more than a lot disingenuous for you to claim my memory is bad. How can my memory be bad for not remembering something you have never stated before? But I understand hypocrisy is a Republican Trumper trademark. Say deficits and government spending is evil and awful when Obama or Clinton is in office and then say deficits don't matter and tax cuts to rich businesses are great when Bush and Trump are in office. Typical. After all Reagan was a small government Republican who increased federal government debt and deficits at an astronomical rate and spent billions or trillions on military spending. Hypocrite times ten.

My sympathies to your mother for contracting cancer. And for having you as a son. Science and medicine and technology has thankfully advanced in the ensuing decades. Treating many illnesses and diseases is better now than it was long ago. Just imagine if Covid had come along 50 years ago. There might be 10 million dead Americans now instead of ONLY 760 thousand dead Americans. We can thank the rapid creation of an effective vaccine for that.. Yeah science. But why would you pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to treat your mother for cancer with radiation and chemotherapy when you vehemently deny the existence of the Covid virus? Why didn't you say her cancer was fake?

Now regarding you "cashed in a million dollars I had in a stock option". Options are a somewhat sophisticated and modern financial instrument. I'd be curious to learn about the details of your option. Such as the entity, the call or put price, the duration, lifespan, of the option. And this was during the 1950s or 1960s or 1970s I presume. So a million dollars was a LOT back then. Not like today when a million is not really a whole lot.

And how did you acquire the capital to acquire this "million dollars I had in a stock option"? Assuming you got out of the Air Force in 1965 after your four years of service. You had 10-15-20 years give or take to acquire this million dollars. Assuming your mother got cancer in the 1970s. You had 10-15 years to amass this million dollars option. $70-80,000 per year appreciation. Salaries back in the 60s-70s were lower. Looking at Wikipedia median income in the USA for 1960 was $4296 for White/European Male Americans. $7011 in 1970. $13,328 in 1980. $21,170 in 1990. Take away federal and California taxes, and you have only about 70% at most left to spend. Of course you lived with your Mom so you had minimal other living expenses during all these years. But still to get up to a million dollars, you had to have great compound returns. Why don't you have the Nobel Prize in Finance for this investing?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personal_income_in_the_United_States

One more issue. When you paid for your Mother's medical treatments and house, how did you transfer the money to her? Until recently the federal government had a $10,000 annual gift amount. This would apply to adult parents and children transferring money. You must pay federal taxes, and state too, for this gift money. The recipient anyway. Did your mother or you violate federal and state tax laws? Did you pay taxes on the money transferred? If your mother paid for her house and medical expenses with your money, she had to pay taxes on this wealth transfer. That is the LAW. Or did you pay for the house and put it in your name? That changes the $154,000 you claim to have paid for the house. But not the medical expenses. That was the benefit of your mother so even if you paid for it, its still considered you gifting her the money. So she would have to pay taxes on this money.

Tommy boy, when you look at the FACTS, your story, boat, has a lot of holes in it. Its sinking to the bottom of the bay.

And both of your names are on the title to the house. But you have never ever said you and your Mom were both 50% owners of the house.

We can thank the rapid creation of an effective vaccine for that.

>

Since you insist on being absolutely stupid, perhaps you might want to look up California Proposition 13. Since I have so little memory from that time, perhaps it was $70,000 which seems unlikely but nevertheless, She paid for the house from the money leftover from her medical treatments. I also paid for her care in the hospital at the end of her life without the help of my brothers since one was retired from the railroad and the other was dead himself. I would have paid for her burial as well but she had made her own plans for the sort of burial and the place of her final resting.
