Just read your post. Installing it now. The internet connection here
was fine two nights ago, but today it's slow, with interruptions, both
to my phone and using the hotel's wifi. I have to check out in an
hour.... Hope it's done by then. ....Yes, it's done.

The internet on the highway and everywhere I've been seems darn good.
Especially considering how mountainous/hilly it is.

I got "searching for GPS" for 55 minutes a few days ago, on the road to
Huehuetenango, and I wondered, How can you not find GPS? It's right up
there!

But it turns out just restarting the phone can make that go away. And if
that doesn't work, there are other steps.

Okay, twice. Still nowhere near 13.

That's a good idea. Their chat-guy didn't suggest it, but that doesn't
mean they don't have it.

.....I couldnt' find it, but my own phone said somewhere that I'd used
18G on the Guatemalan sim. I guess I owe the Tigo chat guy an apology,
although he was sort of annoying anyhow.

But they still have many problems. When I tried to buy more gigs, it
would only do so after I replied to their code and it would only send
the codes to a USA phone. I dl'd the app, and it constantly says it
can't do it right now. And the phone calls to the US stopped working. I
was in a mall (all the Tigo stores appear to be in malls) and the guy
took the sim out (put it on airplane mode first!) and put it back in and
did other htings, and found I had 48 minutes remaining. There is a
limit? They said nothing about a limit when I signed up. Plus I've
bought 4 packages and the time limit isn't up on 3 of them. The guy, who
spoke English, predicted when the 48 minutes were used up, the next
package would take its place, but I doubt it.

If I had it to do over, I'd go with Claro.

Another source:
How much data does a 1 hour WhatsApp video call use?
On average, a video call in WhatsApp can consume around 750MB to 1.3GB
of data per hour for a high-quality video call. This estimate is based
on typical usage and may vary based on factors such as resolution,
network conditions, and any additional data used for messaging and other
app features during the call.

It varies. Cameras are different, settings are different.
