Bure explained that her surprise exit from Hallmark � which was followed by a
number of other network regulars like Danica McKellar, Jen Lilley, Jessica
Lowndes, and Trevor Donovan � came about in part because a change in
leadership had resulted in changes in network programming.

�My heart wants to tell stories that have more meaning and purpose and depth
behind them,� Bure said. �I knew that the people behind Great American Family
were Christians that love the Lord and wanted to promote faith programming
and good family entertainment.�

Great American Family CEO Bill Abbott � who previously helmed Hallmark parent
company Crown Media Network � confirmed that, at least for the time being,
the network planned to keep the focus on traditional marriages. �It�s
certainly the year 2022, so we�re aware of the trends. There�s no whiteboard
that says, �Yes, this� or �No, we�ll never go here,�� he added.

�I think we know the core audience and what they love is exactly how Bill
originally built the Hallmark Channel,� Bure continued. �That was Christmas

Really? What ruined it for you? I liked it up until Negan appeared in the
TV show. I know his character was hugely popular but thought he ruined the
comic too and it was shortly after that I gave up on it.

I bailed on "The Walking Dead" after the first full season with Negan, as I knew
they'd _never_ kill that character off and he'd be annoying me in every episode
from then on.

Of course by that point, I was only tuning in to hate-watch TWD anyways, as
the story and characters had gotten dumber every season.

Yup. That's exactly what happened. The character took over the comic and
then the show too. By then they had killed off most anyone of interest.

I hate watched for a while but finally managed to just give up on it
multiple seasons ago. It was entertaining when it first came on but they
milked the premise to death and Kirkman admitted there was no ending in
sight. I thought one of the better plots was the early one at the CDC and
that wasn't in the comic at all.

Her old boss from Hallmark offered to develop her own made-for-tv movies
if she'd switch to GAC/GAF/GACHE.

Oh yeah, forgot about those, but I was starting to get annoyed when our heroes

IIRC Pavel is her brother-in-law.

I'm brain-cramping on her husband's name, but he was also
in the NHL for awhile, but not as flashy a player.

The only reason I know this much is because my neighbor
watches her movies, and I recognized the Bure part of her
name and asked if she were married to an ex-hockey player.

My neighbor would get along fine with Ian since she has
those Lifetime and Hallmark movies on just about all the
time. (bleah)

Nyssa, who knows more about hockey players than she does
about Hallmark or Lifetime movies
