I read somewhere between 20 and 50 pages of "On the Road." I gave up out of boredom. The characters weren't interesting, the plot was non-existent, and the writing style was straight out of "Fun With Dick and Jane." As Truman Capote noted regarding Kerouac, “that’s not writing, it’s typing.”
