No problem, everyone makes a mistake from time to time.

He lied when he said I didn't answer his question. That's in the subject
header: "Why won't George Dance answer a simple question?"
Pay attention.

No you haven't, Michael. You've shown that two things you *claimed* I
said contradict; but as I've told one of your claims was incorrect.

Of course I accused Burro of lying. Here's his lie again:
"Why won't George Dance answer a simple question?"

> If you claim you had accused him of lying about something else, please be so good as to explain yourself.

I've already explained why his claim that I didn't answer his question
was a lie. I answered it in the thread where he asked it; he simply
reposted it in this thread, without my answer, to lie that I hadn't
answered it.

And what's the answer? Why won't you answer a simple question?

IIRC (and I no longer recall the bulk of this nonsense), you'd originally taken issue with Robert's claim that you'd asked Jim for a poem.

Now you admit that you did ask Jim for a poem... but only because you'd asked "everyone" for a poem.

However, you went on to claim that you specifically asked Jim for a poem (either in a private email, or in a post directed only to him).

This belies your claim that you didn't really want Jim's poetry, but just asked "everyone" to participate.

I'm still listening, George. Why won't you answer a simple question?

Again, George has answered Robert's question several times now.

I think he and his backup troll (MMP as usual) have finally stopped. I
think the only reason for the troll at all was to keep me busy so I
wouldn't see the Chimp's latest poetry challenge -- I never heard of it
till it was over, and he was declared the winner. I wrote the whole
thing up as an OP tonight.

It certainly is. I asked Jim because I asked everyone. You may not like
tht answer, but that is no reason
to protend Robert wasn't given it.

then you do not "ask everyone" to post poetry to AYOS. I did.

whatsoever, and publishes any garbage that is thrown at it, you would
not solicit submissions from a writer whose talents were not up to a
certain standard.

You can use whatever editorial standards you want in your own anthology.
My intent was to produce a representative sample of usenet poetry; I did
not exclude poets I didn't like. And I was satisfied with all the poems
I published.

potential allies and potential adversaries. You slurp the writings of
your potential allies and attack those of your potential adversaries.

LOL! That certainly is not "Tit for Tat". It sounds just like the "team
playing" that I've written about and you deny ever noticing.

Wrong. As I already answered several times, I asked everyone for poetry,
real or potential ally or not. I'm wondering where you're getting that
stuff from?

Ah, that part sounds familiar.

"However, since I believe that Will Donkey and his Stink are incapable
of writing "a decent haiku or anything else," I make certain to exclude
them from my invitation."
" When he is seen as an adversary, you assign a childish name to him and
claim he can't write."

You got this from your own editorial policy.
