The exciting life of a ladies man includes such mundane daily chores
as doing laundry, washing dishes, running the vacuum and dusting.
All in all, the exciting life of a ladies man is not as exciting as you think.

The lock on the sliding door to the back porch broke,
but I couldn’t replace the lock without also replacing
the entire handle assembly, and that required a specific
allen wrench that I didn’t have, so I went to the home
improvement store to get the necessary wrench and
replacement handle, but I couldn’t buy just the specific
wrench I needed without buying a complete set of
wrenches, and they didn’t have a replacement handle
that resembles the one that needs replacing, so I
bought the set of wrenches so that I could at least
get the old lock and handle off of the sliding door,
and then went to a different home improvement store
where I was able to find a replacement handle, and all
of that was a lot of fun, but writing this stupid run on
sentence is the most exciting thing I’ve done all day.

A bit of trivia, back in 1976 when I was first listening to Leonard Cohen with Angie Oliver (who first played me a Leonard Cohen album) and Dan Barfield (who owned the albums) Dan told me one of the "code words" for "let's go smoke a joint" in Vietnam was "Lets go get nervous."

What is it for enders? We went to the source lyrics, which are Cohen's "The Death of a Ladies Man." We tried to listen to the song. We read the lyrics. The song was truly terrible, and his "singing" should have gotten him tomatoed off any stage. The words, as read, were making us sick.

Then George Dance's poem needs to stand on its own, which it does not. We are not going to suffer through Cohen's Crap Catalogue to see which "poem" matches George Dance's "poem." How many women speak of love but really want sexual service? Maybe Ibish will write an essay on that low percentage. Why would the speaker's lady friends make the speaker nervous, instead of mad or feeling used, or other emotions if the speaker thinks that the women just want him as a stud? Maybe because he can't perform?
