Yes, anywhere might get snow. Here in the Atlanta area we get snow
every year but it's only a light dusting. Often won't even stick for a
few hours. Thinking back over the past three decades I can only think
of maybe three times when we had enough snow on the ground to be an
issue when driving around. Likely the snow wouldn't be an issue in
most of Canada but since we get so little snow there's no equipment in
place designed to clean up the snow. The best they can do is spread
salt to try and keep any ice under control on those rare occasions
when it is needed.

That's one nice thing about living down here. You actually get all
four seasons without any one getting out of control. Okay, I'll grant
you that summers can get a bit rough with both high temps in the 90s
(Fahrenheit) and high humidity in the 90% level. That's why God helped
man create air conditioning so one doesn't need to deal with the
heat/humidity 24x7.

The mountains east of LA will get snow all winter, so it's very likely
to see some left over patches in the spring. There's even a ski area up
there.

Our local municipality regularly deposit brine on the roadways (at
least major bus routes like the one Ilive on) when the forecast goes
4-5 degrees above freezing. (Which given I live roughly 600-700 feet
above sea level while the airport where the weather office is is at
sea level suits me just fine)

Of course I also remember 2008 when the local bus line decided our
neighborhood wouldn't be served during the worst of the snowstorm
which isn't unreasonable - but what WAS unreasonable is that they
didn't notify the neighborhood either by signage, the radio or their
website....so my kids got the "privilege" of walking to the bus stop
that normally would take them downtown, standing at the stop for more
than an hour for a bus that wasn't coming and getting to wait on hold
for 20+ minutes calling the bus line to NOT find out (because nobody
answered the phone - just the answering machine messages) what had
happened.....

And I live in Vancouver which Rhino will attest is one of the milder -
if hillier - cities in Canada.

Which is just great for the undercarriage of your vehicle. There's a
reason southern cars last a lot longer on average than northern cars.
