Andrew Sachs is dead. Prunella Scales has dementia and can no longer act.
Connie Booth (who co-created Fawlty Towers with Cleese, who she was married
to at the time) wasn’t even informed that a sequel was on the cards, so I’m
guessing that their relationship hasn’t improved in the 45 years since they
divorced.

With just one of the four principals involved - and that one having turned
into a bit of a right wing nutcase in the last decade or so - “not as good”
is way better than we can reasonably hope for.

produced a series called "Mother and Son" (1984-94),

One of the few that have been done properly is the sequel series "Still
Open All Hours" - largely because it has many of the original people
involved, the same idea, and even some of the same jokes - nobody was
stupid enough to make pointless changes.

Everyone with a computer or a smart phone has access to Disney+...
it's whether they want to pay the money and subscribe to it for a
month, or not.

Everyone with a computer also has other means at their disposal to
access Doctor Who... but a month's subscription to Disney+ is
probably less hassle!

Pick up a cake and pop in, you've only three episodes of Doctor Who
to catch up on... at the moment.

Look out for the next Disney+ offer, I had it for €1.99 a month for
three months... that was definitely good value for money. (Obviously
I didn't need it for Doctor Who as I get BBC1.)

The original "Mother and Son" was rubbish too and was just an
Australian remake of the much better British comedy show "Keeping Mum"
starring Stephanie Cole.

You don't need to pay Disney anything. Like any other show, New-Who is
easily watchable on the BBC website via a VPN / proxy server as well as
quickly available on the naughty web.
