Well there were electricity and gas board showrooms on every high
street where you could pay your bills and buy new stuff, and make
a complaint if you had too (which was pointless).

Someone I know has to do the school run in a 3.5 ton van. Not because he
wants to; it's because he has to have the van for other reasons so it
isn't worth having a smaller vehicle.
