Darkrooms are not red for night vision purposes, it's because the light
sensitive paper on which the B&W prints are made does not react to the
red light wavelengths. Which is handy.

In the "olden days" film also only reacted to the shorter wavelengths
of blue and green and could be developed in red light, but modern B&W
film is panchromatic and needs to be handled in total darkness.

I used to use 120 or 620 Pan when I was in short trowsis, so not *that*
modern.

I will, but I kinda doubt it will help considering I don't have prostate
issues. I've had this most of my life, and the surgery I finally had
last year just made it worse.
I'm not fond of discussing it. Have you ever heard of EPVS? Enlarged
penis vibration syndrome. It acts like a vibrator when you get a hard on.

Prolly won't help, then, as it over time, (and as an old crofter friend
of mine used to say: "When the Good Lord made time, He made plenty of
it.") shrinks the prostate.

Not heard of it. I'll take a tube...

Panchromatic film was available at the early part of the last century
so probably not that modern but in the context of commercial camera
film wasn't widely available until post-war. I think...

Orthochromatic film is still available.

Understandable.
No.
<Googles>
Well that led me to a very long read indeed. Won't post a link but a
learned academic article I found could be paraphrased as "All you wanted
to know about your penis, but were afraid to ask".

Most informative.

But then it wasn't until post-war that I became interested in
photography. Pre-war I wasn't, and the nearest I got to it *during* the
war was in front of a Polyphoto camera, and the Old Man's folding Kodak
120 - AFAIK.

Playing catch up here while trying not to succumb to jetlag.
I just popped to the shed and looked at the 890.
Same set up but with zip ties to stop your problem.

Are the cable ties a PO addition or OE?

Well; I'm suspicious now. Been out riding in the wet and hosed the
bike down on my return. ABS & TC lights are now showing.
Possible the previous owner snagged his and tried to cover things up
with cable wrap and ties before chopping it in?
I'll ring the dealer in the morning; its still under warranty despite
being second hand. That cable and sensor is £104 plus VAT.
