been running the beta for months. Could be tomorrow, more likely Friday
or next Week, depends on which schedule Apple chooses and when the new
phones will actually be in customer's hands,

New Safari on iPad OS still kind of sucks, but the iOS versions is a lot
better.

The OS has been very stable all along since the first developer beta;
bugs have mostly been display issues or functionality issues, not
crashes.

You will be able to stay on iOS 14 with updates if you want to wait
(*new feature this year), but there are some features I would not be
willing to give up. I already find myself relying on the new focus
settings and the ability to copy text from photos and screenshot. I've
used the latter feature to get text from a letter someone posted a
picture of, for example, and it's been very useful for tracking numbers
and serial numbers/

phone of a Saudi activist, was shared with Apple, which on Monday released
a patch to fix the vulnerability.

required to control it. It's a meaty feature hackers can't wait to get
their hooks onto. And you know they will always find a way in

These two new iOS 15 backdoors (on hold) would have been exploited for sure.

The problem isn't bugs - it's *Apple doesn't bother to test iOS properly*.
It's cheaper to simply advertise that iOS is safe than it is to _test_ it.

Ever notice it's _never_ Apple who finds all the zero-day bugs?
There are so many zero-day holes in iOS that hackers stopped accepting them.

Where do you think Apple gets those ungodly profits from anyway?

Apple isn't spending much money in testing of their software.
That's for sure.

The problem here is well known, which is that Apple has never sufficiently
tested iOS for security. Apple figured out long ago that it's far cheaper to
simply _advertise_ that iOS is secure. It's too expensive for Apple to test.

Hence, it's Apple's de-facto policy to let _others_ find the bugs in iOS.
And, as you just reported, they do.
