ownership of gold, and pegged the Greenback to gold to force citizens to
convert all their gold holdings to the paper money. France forced the US

cancel the conversion in 1971 to curb the outflow of gold. It never
resumed.

Off the top of my head, there was a similar scheme used by the US puppet

the reasons why the ROC government failed so quickly in the Chinese
