Don did the honors last night. He cleaned then cut up 1.5lbs squid.
This was dipped in seasoned flour (just black pepper and a little
paprika) the eggwash then flour again. Deep fry until golden.

I made sides of eggdrop soup with bok choy leaves cut to strips.
Honeyed carrots (steam then roll in honey). My rasin-rum bread.

Excellent! Don excels with squid. He gets it 'just right' everytime,
which is hard to do. No 'rubbery squid' here! The leftover squid is
great cold too!

For tonight, we are slumming it with cans. I'll steam some veggies but
that's about it with some more toasted raisen-rum bread. Don's
thinking canned ravioli (grin).

Yes it has been quiet lately. Except for D deliberately quoting all
the sockpuppets.

Red onion might hit just the spot there? Seems so.

Just needs a kiss of sriracha on top...

That's really not Asian!

You need to make up some ginger beef, in honor of the soon to be dead
royal family.

I'm not much on wine really. It's an occasional thing for me and
preferences run to what might be called 'table wines' vice fine ones.
I like a lot of the Australian ones for example. I tend to rose's and
whites. Nothing dry.

We had leftover Micheal Angelo's lasagna, stuffed celery and soggy
garlic toast. I'll do better tonight. We are having high-dollar steak,
asparagus, and I haven't settled on the starch yet (probably potatoes).

What makes you think a peeling in water 'brightens' it up?
Is your water so bad it has to be doctored up??

I cannot stand citrus peel (lemon, lime, or orange) in my
water. If I wanted soapy tasting water, I just give my
glass a shot of Dawn. What's wrong with just plain H2O?

There's nothing wrong with plain water.

Citrus peel doesn't taste soapy to me. I often use lemon zest
in salad dressings.
