I'm not crazy about pears. Fortunately, I like them underripe,
and grocery stores are happy to oblige. Same thing for peaches,
plums, and nectarines. If they're not tart and crisp, I'm out.

Which is why I mainly stick to apples.

I disagree. There are a lot of things that I have acquired a taste for
and now really enjoy..... beer, wine, liquor, dill pickles, pickled
herring, squid, squash, yogurt and many more.
