It's not terrible as an occasional fast fix. We keep a stock of such
for hurricane prep kit but these need to be refreshed. Not wildly
expired, just 4 months but time to eat up then get fresh ones. I
checked the spam can and same thing, so spam will be fit in the menu
(and can replaced).

These were nothing special. Chef Boyardee. Found a can of
spaghettio's too. Charlotte likes them sometimes.

BTW, if you think I cook a little wierd, Charlotte is definately out
there! Not that odd as a lot of her formative years were in Japan.
The 'fish sticks' she grew up on were whole small cleaned fish on a
wooden scewer, oiled then grilled. She ordered delivery and it was all
good but Don's not a fan of eel...(I am!). She got him a squid dish
over angel hair pasta with a thin but good tomato sauce. Bao buns with
adzuki bean paste filling. Rice, and a seafood soup that I've had with
all sorts of seafoods mixed in, in a hot-spicy soup.

the bag of frozen ravioli out of the freezer. This ravioli has Italian
sausage as the filling. A simple pomodoro sauce will round it out nicely.

Yes, this was bought fresh but I put it in the freezer for later use.
I've seen fresh mushroom filled ravioli - not sure if there is cheese in
it, too. I haven't tried it.

I also liked Franco-American Spaghetti and Meatballs. The meatballs were
about the size of large buckshot and there were around five in a can.
They're gone now.
My wife loved Lucca frozen ravioli and their sauces. They're gone now.

Sounds good! I'm jumping about making dinner. So far chopped a cup of
flat Italian green beans (fresh), 4 shishito peppers (plan to plant the
seeds and see what happens). Red bell pepper, smoked beef sausage next
then mushrooms and garlic cloves. Then the egg noodles to boil and
finally make the garlic parmesan alfredo for it all (cheating tonight
with a jar of the sauce).

I have to do stuff in stages because of my back problems. At the same
time, clearing a path for the new washing machine that has to come in
from a normally closed off french door to reach where it goes. (our
old one gave up the ghost after 14 faithful years).

Simple eats of my college years. I'd developed some cooking skills by
then but nothing really spectacular other than a southern chili and
some forays into soups and crockpot things. I was starting to
experiment as finances allowed though and made good coleslaws of the
savory type.
