Group A: Qatar (hosts), Netherlands, Senegal, Ecuador
---- I think this is the weakest group, Netherlands have an easy ride here... may be Ecuador can pose a bit of a problem.

Group B: England, United States, Iran, Wales/Scotland/Ukraine

--- Most dramatic group. Iran seems like the toughest of the Asian teams. If Ukraine qualifies, the drama quotient goes up. I think England wins the group easily. But the second spot is for grabs. Fairly tough for the second spot.

Group E, I think. Costa Rica will beat New Zealand. And they can squeeze in a draw or two and make it interesting. Japan is no pushover. Germany lost to South Korea last time, so there is no guarantee Germany will make it through this group

You can't avoid politics even if you wanted to, people here want to
see Borjan stuffed since he made some controversial statements regarding

Oh I remember alright. That match was the last leg of an accumulator bet which would have won me £500 had Serbia advanced. It was the clearest penalty I've ever seen, all the more so when you consider they had VAR to rely on. I can't quite remember now if they waived the option to go to VAR or if the VAR review said no penalty but it was a scandalous decision either way.

To this day if I hear the name "Mitrovic" I'm reminded of how I was robbed of £500 :(

All things being equal I'm not someone who's naturally inclined to support Serbia but on this occasion I'll make an exception and say I hope Serbia beat Switzerland 10-0.

Based on what I saw in the CAF qualifiers, Senegal are not that good in spite of having some big names. Their match against Egypt was poor.

Are you Mr.Lily.White? Senegal, next to the Dutch, probably have the best centre back pairing in World Football. Granted, Egypt were kinda poor, but i like Senegal's chances in this WC.

Denmark are the most exciting team in Europe. The Erikson angle makes them the team I want to win.

Kinda, Spain and Germany are two teams that were good 10-20 years ago. Though if i understand correctly they play brazil or portugal and Germany ( should they make it) have a good record lately vs Portuguese speaking antions.
