By 'minority condition' I mean one that affects only a minority of the
population (...like homosexuality). And I haven't defended 'BLM' as a
generally apolitical meme, owing to its predominant headlines.

Meanwhile, of what did the big proselytizing boobs try to persuade you?

But you haven't condemned all the Marxist public school teachers that
prominently display BLM's raised fist symbol the way you do when the
politics of conservative kids being censored is brought up here.

Just like you decry any sort of even implied or 'coded' bigotry from
some posters here on RAT but seem to have a peculiar and convenient
blind spot for Effa Pee Pee's and Trotsky the Hutt's blatantly
homophobic bigotry.

> owing to its predominant headlines.

So headlines is what makes it political? Okay, then we're back to gay
and trans being political, too. They certainly generate a shit-ton of
headlines.

> Meanwhile, of what did the big proselytizing boobs try to persuade you?

I can't know the intent of the boobs and what exactly they're trying to
persuade anyone.

Then why do you insist (above) that they're "a form of proselytizing"?

Meanwhile, "headlines" are a big part of society's shared vocabulary.
And *my* sense is that the 'BLM' logo has acquired an unavoidable hue of
political violence ...as opposed to, say, the Rainbow Flag's parades.

Btw, those "Marxist public school teachers" you want condemned probably
don't know the first thing about Marxism.

Knowing that it's proselytizing and knowing exactly what message is
intended are two different things.

Well, that much is true. It's hilarious seeing today's proto-commies
filming their outrage on their iPhones.

I think you can't have the first without the second. E.g., when *I*
watched the big-boob video, the first "message" that came to mind was a
lampooning of our societal obsession with bodies (...which, btw, I would
not deem controversially "political").

Please, show your work. Where have I said anything homophobic or bigoted?

Or are you saying that if I didn't oppose something, I must be for it?
In that case, I'm going to assume you're pro-cannibalism and
pro-Rosicrucianism, since I've never heard you denounce either.

Fucking Rosicrucianist!

Why, yes... I guess not wanting the state to murder black people is
purely political.

Which political party is FOR the state murdering black people, then?
Please, tell us. (I think I already know the answer, though.)

Oh, please spare us the lies. I'm not dancing because you want me to.
That's like me asking you to denounce the raging misogyny. Or your own
raging homophobia and blatant racism.

And I will provide my receipts, unlike you. Here you are defending the
blatantly racist song, "Barack the Magic Negro". Not only did you not
denounce it - you DEFENDED it.

See? That wasn't hard, now was it?
I'm not Trotsky's keeper. We agree on some things, and disagree on
much, much more.

So what? I'm supposed to give a shit about what YOU want me to do?

If I correctly understand what you mean by 'multi-valent' no it isn't.

At the same time, in a shop class schools routinely demand clothing
safe for in a shop setting (which differs from a math english or
science class) for teacher and student safety.

Prosthetic breast are NOT a solution for a medical problem nor a
result of plastic surgery so there should be no legal problem with the
school board demanding the teacher remove articles of clothing that
however much they may or may not accent his sexual identity (which I
question) but DEFINITELY both teacher and student have a right to a
safe teaching environment and ornamental breast prosthetics are NOT a
safety device in a shop classroom.

I remind you when this came up I talked about my grade 8 shop safety
presentation and specific types of clothing (the main one I remember
was baggy sweaters which could catch on tools or machinery since in
other classes I routinely worse such sweaters particularly in winter)
and suggested that while I didn't take a class poll, I am skeptical
after watching the safety video too many 8th graders in that class
slept well that night - it was one of those "don't let this happen to
you!" films which graphically showed examples of classroom accidents
that had occured.

I say again pendulous breasts DO present potential for either the
teacher getting caught or bumping a student into an unsafe position
and in a shop class that should be THE biggest no-no in the book!

Yet I had a teacher who if not Marxist was extreme left (he was an
International Brigade alumnus) who taught mathematics and pre-calculus
and was one helluva teacher because he stuck to his subject and did it
VERY well indeed.

I'm pretty sure he knew my grandfather's politics (Grandad had run
twice for the federal Conservative party which this teacher abhored)
but never held it against me - I worked extra hard in math class and
thoroughly earned my "A". At the end of the year I asked him about the
brigades and he gave me a decent and honest answer - but that was
after class not in place of the actual course content.

Today it's the norm to denigrate somebody whose views you disagree
with - he knew his craft very well and delighted in sharing his
knowledge and I wish all my teachers had been as good at teaching as
he was. Yes I know I'm an old fart (my class has their 50th
anniversary reunion in 12 days and yes I've got my ticket) - but Mr
Bruce Ewen was one helluva man and it was a privilege to sit in his
class notwithstanding what the whole class knew was his politics.

(He also smoked like a chimney and had yellowed fingers but his
students never saw him with a cigarette or pipe as he felt it was his
personal vice and none of the kids' business)
