Perhaps the people judging so harshly should reflect on whether a person
who is running a business is going to be bothered by the opinion of
those who couldn't.

Seriously Grumpy, is that *all* you have? You're really showing your
childish true colours here now! EOL? Surely you jest? Sorry laddie, it
doesn't work that way with computers, especially custom built units like
this one. Any-single-component group in the PC can be sold for in excess
of the $50 I paid should I see fit to scrap it. That won't happen
however and it now has a *new* lease of life here as a very fast Linux
workstation. Even bought a *new* Antec P10 F-LUX midi tower case to
transfer all the gubbins into. Using a Thermaltake 500W PSU instead of
the http://nordic.thermaltake.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00000880 that
it came with. How much is one of these on the used market Grumps?

If you had seen the Lian Li server case it all came in, you wouldn't
make such frivolous and ridiculous comments. It quite literally dwarfed
my tower cases. My mate in West Footscray said it was big after he had
picked it up, I just didn't realise how big. Too big for my needs.

Lots of enhancement headroom there. Currently your opinion isn't worth 2
knobs of goat shit.

Pretty pointless really, huh? Alvey comes in here to make these same
nonsensical posts each and every day as if they've never been said
before and everyone needs to hear them all over again.

The funny part is that I don't think anyone genuinely gives a *fuck*
about anything he has to say, but not only that all he manages to do is
make himself look like a total crank who spends a fair portion of his
day sitting in a dark corner somewhere rocking back and forth while
eating his own shit and chanting "Ken Bruce has gone completely mad".

The *best* part about it all is that he doesn't need any help from
anyone to portray that image :)

Cost of pickup, freight, inc. delivery to door = $0. Recall, if you
will, I said I was interested in the unit when first advertised but I
had a *logistics problem*. I *phoned a friend*, one of those people
Darren would have you believe were *mythical*. It was picked up and paid
for a mere few days later. That's what friends do for you! I guess you
wouldn't know about that aspect of life. Hell, you can't even keep a
wife in your life, you miserable little sod. If anything is EOL round
here, it's you! It could well be said you didn't even have much of a
life in the first place.

The comp fired up perfectly on arrival, no issues.

You'll have to excuse Grumpy, he never managed to progress from being a
field tech - didn't even make it to management level. Sad really.

It's a bit hard for Grumpy to do that! He's a bit lacking in life skills
to begin with.

Not concerned whether it works or not, its end of life. If it keeps
going for any length of time it is a bonus.

I've probably repaired more computers than you've had hot breakfasts.
Nothing hard about removing hard drives from a tower at all. Except for
aio pc's in which case it can be a pita. Sata cables were a major step
up from ide. I've even installed scsi devices. and custom built scsi
cables.

Right there is where you made yourself look like a complete idiot. I
wonder if you can work out why.

Really. You're so charming. Obviously you went to xeno's school of
charm. What an Idiot.

Off you go back to aus.tv or wherever you toddled in from.

OMIGOD, here comes the self-aggrandisement! Frankly my dear, who gives a
stuff that you were stuck at the hardware level and never moved onwards
and upwards from there? Speaking of self-aggrandisement, how's that
*Masters Degree* you boasted about, the one you *claimed* you were
undertaking? That was about the same time your woman pissed you off and
your tech career turned to shit and you ended up *retired*. You've not
mentioned it since, unsurprisingly.

WFM, so have I and I don't even consider myself a PC tech. And I was
tinkering with SCSI devices and custom building computers in the *80s*.
Made up all sorts of ribbon cables back then, it isn't difficult if you
have the right gear, you know.

Obviously you are not up to date with *new* tech. My Macbook Air is more
than capable of such tasks. That's why I bought it. A well equipped NUC
would be similarly capable.

Well, it's obvious he didn't go to Darren's FLCJC school of charm, the
obvious clue, no toxic expletives. You, on the other hand, are obviously
a graduate.

Hate to tell you *again* Grumpy, usenet doesn't work that way. Peter is

Once again you fail to understand anything. I was always retiring at 58
whether or not my ex was with me. I withdrew from undertaking the
masters as I undertook further manufacturer training which was more
relevant to my job. My work didn't go to shit, I had enough to retire
and enjoy my life. That's what smart people do. I still dabble somewhat
when needed for pocket money for my hobby.

What a load of piffle. You only mentioned doing a masters in order to
big yourself. I doubt you ever signed up. As for your work, you were
still on the lowest rungs of the ladder. No doubt your *employer* was
beginning to think you were a *bit past it* and decided you needed to be
put out to pasture. Happy grazing in the paddock!

That's what Super is for. My retirement was planned for 58 but life
threw me a curveball so I ended up retired at *48* but way better off
financially.

Not a all, far more accurate to call you a *liar*.

You make the claims, you get to prove them. That was your call when the
shoe was on the other foot but now, when you're under the spotlight, you
run away. But it's Ok Darren, I *know* you can't hand over *any*
information, you don't have anything. You actually have to have done an
apprenticeship, and completed it, in order to have anything to hand
over. The Govt. records are *not your friend* Darren, they tell the truth.

And you call Jonz a "Village idiot", he's an intellectual giant compared
to you.

If water burns, why do the fire brigade pour it on burning buildings? It
is because it's cheaper than petrol and they can dance around the fire
as the water burns up chanting "Burn baby burn"?

Anyway the next bit may be hard for you as it contains science, I'll
type it slowly, you can stick your tongue out if it helps you to
concentrate.

Most substances (not all but including water) have 3 states, solid,
liquid, and gaseous, with water these are called ice, water, and water
vapour. Transitioning between these states involves latent energy, e.g.
going from liquid to gaseous, (latent) heat of vaporization or heat of
evaporation, is the amount of energy (enthalpy) that must be added to a
liquid substance to transform a quantity of that substance into a gas.

So when water is converted into vapor in the induction system of an IC
engine it absorbs energy cooling the mixture and preventing
pre-detonation (Knocking). This allows a higher compression ratio or a
higher level of boost.

Thus water is evaporated not burnt, AFAIK, the only way that water would
be "Burnt" would be in a thermo-nuclear reaction.

Thus endeth the lesson.

Fuck me....

*Please* tell me this idiot is *not* stupid enough to think that when
water used in an injection system on some engines evaporates the
hydrogen atoms separate and become a fuel.

*Please* tell me this blithering moron is not that stupid.... :)

duh! you really are a pretentious conceited asshole,  arn't you.
(rhetorical question). of course it's evaporated. that's what I meant by
simply saying it's 'burnt'. it cannot remain in it's liquid state. noddy
can't see beyond the end of his nose, and you can't see beyond your ego.

And why not! It's suitably inaccurate to fit snugly into your arsenal of
weird and useless 'weapons'.

So what you're spraying above Buffo is that people are allowed to say
anything they like and are not bound to provide any substantion for it at
all. Wow. Not only is that in *direct* opposition to Westminster Law and a
societal norm, it's also jaw-droppingly hypocritical of you, He Who Used To
Challenge So Many Others. Like, remember how Big Tough Fraudster carried on
when he was mentioned as a 'paedophile'? Different tune then wasn't it
Buffo?

Now the *facts* here Fraudster are that you made a specific claim, Hell!
You even blurted to let you know when I wanted you to prove it! So I'm
doing as you advised and asking you to prove it. This is as far from the
'Karen entitlement' as one can get.

So once again, it's back to you Fraudster. Are you going to do what you
said you'd do? Or are you going to dig a deeper hole for yourself in
Chickenshit Castle?

alvey
"A simple lesson for you to learn here is that if if you're not prepared
to support your claims for whatever reason, then perhaps you either don't
make them in the first place, or be prepared to retract." Fraudster,
