I would think that would be a fairly safe bet considering he retired

Are you? And when did you carry out the autopsy? :)

Was it a heart attack? Was there any history of congenital heart disease
in his family? Did he have an anaphelactic reaction to something? Did he
just need a good hard shit?

For fuck's sake :)

yeah legend is good; cricket legend, football legend, etc., and I don't
agree that just because someone is famous they should be expected to
lead a blameless life.

"Hero" means many things to many people, and according to the dictionary
I have here it simply means "people who are admired for their courage
and/or achievements". It gives no definition as to what those
"achievements" may be.

Personally I don't see sports people as "heroes", but then I don't see
cops, firefighters or ambo's as heroes either as that's what they sign
up for.

nup it's wrong to say 'bend with the flow' because a flow doesn't bend.
'flow with the tide' would be ok, because that's what tides do. i'm
forming the opinion that your unwilling to ever admit you're wrong.

Lifestyle is the major cause of early heart attacks in men, and Warne
didn't exactly live a healthy lifestyle. In fact it is reported that he
was trying to redress it with extreme dieting before his death.

That may be so, but until the results of the autopsy are in no one has
any real idea on the cause of death let alone alone if his "lifestyle"
was a contributing factor, so how you can be "pretty sure" of what
killed him is an absolute nonsense :)

> In fact it is reported that he was trying to redress it with extreme dieting before his death.

I don't know about "extreme dieting". I read that he was on a health
kick which is why he was at the resort in the first place, and I also
read that he had seen a doctor about chest pains in the days leading up
to his arrival.

None of that is conclusive proof that he had a heart attack, or that his
"lifestyle" played any part in it.

What could possibly be suspect about 4 middle-aged Western men going to
Thailand? Nope. Can't think of anything.

Aside: Medical opinion is specific and united on Viagra. If you have a
dodgy heart, you don't use it. But say someone prominent *did* use it and
carked it on the job. Would it be appropriate for the flag to be at
half-mast?

Here you go hypocrites! Munch on these Fraudster quotes.

Not quite. I wish you would die in a horrible Felching accident, but I'm
not that lucky. 12Feb18

Do the world a massive favour and just die somewhere quietly. 05Dec17

You should go fuck yourself and die horribly. 11Aug17

Fuck off and die you oxygen thieving fraud. 04Aug17

Hopefully you'll have a massive heart attack, or a brain aneurysm or
even a car accident, and die before aus.cars does. 26Apr17

If Krypsis were to suddenly die a massively painful death after his
"wife" got a bit carried away during one of their regularly scheduled
meat injection sessions and poked his epiglottis out the back of his
neck with her dick, I would throw a party and invite a few of the
regulars who might want to come along and celebrate the demise of a
despicable oxygen theiving conman. 26Apr17

Hopefully he'll die soon, and his incessant bullshit will die with him.
12May17

How that you are nothing but an obnoxious faking *cunt* that most people
would be happy to see die of cancer? 14Jan17

I fucking hate you with a passion and would happily see you die horribly.
30Dec16

Seeing you die horribly would be a gift to many. 26Dec16

It's time for you to die, and your bullshit to die with you. 06Dec16

A complete and utter fake that I wouldn't piss on if he was on fire.
18Oct18

If you were on fire out front of my house I'd throw petrol on you. 15Feb18

Except you Krypsis, but you know that, right? Just *die*, you bastard...

Most unbecoming, and insulting to 'real' heroes.

Was he?
There have been lots of documentaries and even a Senna movie and he
still gets mentioned in F1 commentary, Senna's death got massive
worldwide attention.
In countries like India cricket stars are treated like gods and there
are more than a billion Indians and a big percentage are cricket fans.
Even if Senna was as well or better known was he as popular, I certainly
know of Senna and admire his skill but I always thought of him as an
arrogant areshole, whilst Warnie could be a buffon he was a likeable
character.

Know what you mean, famous people get a lot of recognition and others
just as deserving get none.
Don't know who to blame for that, is it the media or the public who put
sports and other famous people up on pedestals?
Maybe the media who get paid massive sums for promoting various sports
or a bit of both?

Agree that the term is overused and in many instances not deserved but
as I've said previously there is big benefit to the community when
people are positive and happy and sports stars do that for people.
Hero's maybe not but they certainly contribute to community well being.

It did indeed. If I remember correctly there was three days of mourning
in Brazil after Senna died, and I would expect the Brazilian print and
digital media went just as nuts over his death as the Aussie media has
about Warne's.

It's always a big deal in the home country, and the fact that Keith
can't see this is very strange indeed.

> In countries like India cricket stars are treated like gods and there

And that's a big part of the reason why the death of such people become
big media stories. How relatable they were to the public.

Warne was an international sports star who was regarded by friend and
foe alike as the best there has ever been in his field, but moreover he
remained an "Aussie Larrikin" who never drifted far from his working
class roots despite his international celebrity status and it's that
"bogun" attitude that endeared his fans to him.

It's the ultimate movie script. Local boy becomes world beater, drinks
beer, smokes cigarettes, eats pies and fucks Liz Hurley. The only people
who didn't like him are those who were jealous :)

In general yes but I hang around with lots of car racing participants, I
was at Sandown yesterday, in car racing circles he is a god and even the
young ones know all about him.
I meet him 4 times and 3 of those times were at Phillip Island and I was
very lucky just to get near him, everywhere he went there was a big
crowd except the last time when I was admiring one of his cars talking
to the owner and he came up to us and said hello, to a car racing tragic
like me it was like being in the company of royalty.

Restricted?
As a sport cricket is huge especially in countries like India, its only
second to soccer in world wide popularity with approx 2.5 billion fans
and without a doubt everyone of those fans would know who Warnie was.

Very likely.
