Do you deny you are the author of this quote?

I've been booted off by past providers before because people
complain about me and all my bullshit. I don't want to lose my ISP
*again* but I still need my army of sock puppets so I continually
search usenet for whatever servers I haven't yet been booted
from.

And do you deny you were booted from X10? How about Comcast? How about
FreeHostingEU? AwardSpace (atwebpages.com)? Has Imgur taken down your images?
How about your GigaNews account -- after you harassed me with it you had no
issues with them? How about your fretwizzen account? You have not used that
one in some time.

Agreed... but we were talking files in general. Are there any apps that do not
leave any behind? There may be... I have not done any deep checks.

It is the way macOS works. The standard uninstall method is to just drag the
file from the Applications folder. Some small files that are saved elsewhere
are not removed.

Given that DB's treated me like an enemy there's no reason I'd want to.
The loon has stuck his neck out, trashing his rep even further on your
behalf, and you don't seem willing to help him on things that matter to
him. What kind of 'friend' are you? (this reminds me of when Marek gave
you that computer and you immediately went back to treating him like
sh*t once you had it in your hands).

You have yet to demonstrate that what EtreCheck left was malware. Indeed,
given that anyone with sense (therefore, not you) can see exactly what it is,
that statement of yours may well be actionable. Perhaps someone should bring
it to the attention of your newsfeed and to the dev in question. Hmm. Now who
might do that? Hmmm.

because it’s just a few, small, insignificant, harmless, files which might
assist if ever you reinstall. And which can trivially be deleted, and which
were not hidden.

You’re an idiot.

I know why DB treats me like one, despite the fact I've helped him many
times, YOU are the reason.

Great answer from a 'dedicated friend' <eyeroll>.

"Narcissistic personality disorder — one of several types of personality
disorders — is a mental condition in which people have an inflated sense
of their own importance, a deep need for excessive attention and
admiration, troubled relationships, and a lack of empathy for others."

All that's missing is your picture. Mr. 'Empathy'.

LOL!

It seems like it's all gotta be a game but he is good at it, pretending
he's concerned about these 'nefarious' files. Maybe I'm too easy a mark,
part of me thinks the concern might be genuine and the reason he ignores
things people tell him is because he's positive 'someone is out to get
him' or some such. As long as you guys have watched him, I'm not sure
any of you can actually answer this question.

Yours that got suspended, of course.

More of your drama and victim games.

The point here is simple: even though you attack David for his bans, you
ignore your own... and try to back off of your own quote:

I've been booted off by past providers before because people
complain about me and all my bullshit. I don't want to lose my ISP
*again* but I still need my army of sock puppets so I continually
search usenet for whatever servers I haven't yet been booted

That is you. You are the author. Period.

Are you ready to admit you have a son that goes by the name Ryan Sullivan?

Ryan Sullivan <sf4adq$f7v$1@gioia.aioe.org>:
-----
My father is jealous of my success in being sober since Nov 2
2018. He has not been able to stop that addiction nor his
addiction to the guy who goes by Snit in these groups.

I have no shame in being sober and am proud of how far I have
gotten considering the influences I had growing up. Does not stop
him from bringing it up to Adriana any time he sees her as he
tries to break us up.

I do not know who you are Snit, but my father is not a mentally
well man. He talks about you all the time. You are right that he
is wasting his life on whatever petty battle he has with you.
-----

Ryan Sullivan <sf4b12$l3u$1@gioia.aioe.org>
-----
My father has shown me this bot running. It is his. He speaks of
using it to prove to Snit he can make a better bot.
-----

Ryan Sullivan <sf4b2v$l3u$2@gioia.aioe.org>
-----
Is this about that Prescott site you talk about and ask us if your
work is better?
-----

Ryan Sullivan <sf6j6k$4fn$1@gioia.aioe.org>:
-----
Why could you not spend as much time focused on me and Steve as
you do on this guy online?
-----

Ryan Sullivan <sf6j6v$4fn$2@gioia.aioe.org>:
-----
You played a few gigs and grifted as you got your kids to drink.
You're a piece of shit father.
-----

Ryan Sullivan <XnsADB0B5EAF75DA443322@46.165.242.75>
-----
Unfortunately my father who posts here as Steve Carroll is a
mentally ill person.

He abuses alcohol and drugs as well and is a controil freak
maniac.

My mom left him years ago due to his substance abuse.

So my dad has been stalking snit Michael Glasser for years. I do
not know why but it is a major part of his life. My advice is to
ignore Steve Carroll and his many nyms.

To push your trolling and drama. Sure. But still YOUR words. You are the
author of this quote:

I've been booted off by past providers before because people
complain about me and all my bullshit. I don't want to lose my ISP
*again* but I still need my army of sock puppets so I continually
search usenet for whatever servers I haven't yet been booted

You can make all the excuses you want... but it is still YOU.

You haven't been paying attention my friend! EtreCheck is not an proper
'application' and is NOT installed!

Will you explain WHY you are reluctant to contact the developer about
this matter? It won't cost anything more than a few minutes of your time.

Why don't you write it up and if he's OK with the wording, go from
there? You're asking for his time, use less of it and convey the words
*you* want to convey <shrug>.

Of course. To both.

Who did you mean by "They"?

The EtreCheck removal process ignores the fact that hidden files will be
left on the host computer. A normal user would be completely unaware
that files associated with EtreCheck will remain in place.
No opportunity is given to "decide for yourself" as you put it.

yes it is. For one thing, a Get Info shows it to be of type Application. For
another, what’s ‘improper’ about how it istalls?

yes it is. There are many ways to install an app. you’re merely an
ignoramous.

because he sees nothing to contact the dev about.

no-one except you cares... and you’re a psychotic idiot with delusions of
adequacy.

I understand that. But part of the question, if I understand correctly, is if
EtreCheck is doing something uncommon (no less untoward). So far I have seen
no evidence it is doing either.

Not sure what you mean by a "proper" application. As far as installation -- it
installs the way many macOS apps do, though drag and drop. Some also get
installed from the store or from an installer (though these are fairly rare).
Do you mean it is not available in the App store?

Not sure what I would even be asking. His app has files that get left behind
-- as do other apps. Is there a reason to be concerned with this?
