I actually had to look up whether "The Gambia" was correct usage as during Italia 90 some of the British commentators referred to Cameroon erroneously as "The Cameroon" and to the players as "The Cameroons".

Two Senegal penalties overturned on VAR. The first the keeper seemed to take out the opposing player and managed to injure himself in the process. Got some of the ball and some of the man. Commentators seemed to think it should have been a penalty.

The second was one of those awful handball calls where the defender turns away and does everything they can to avoid a handball. I’m pleased that one was overturned.
