Yeah there is when you're claiming bias. There is no bias, they're facts.

As usual gutless Derro runs away after making a statement he can't back
up. Typical.

Seriously, that's just Murdoch bullshit that you're regurgitating. The
GFC killed many economies and we didn't even have a recession. Our
government was wwidely credited for it's management of the crisis by
everyone around the world except Murdoch.

Did Murdoch tell you that Howard fucked the economy and set the country
up for it's current deficit problem?

I'm guessing not.

You've outlined a Morrison method that Darren, a year 9 dropout, will

This is a *discussion* forum. Darren has made a claim, he should be
prepared to discuss his POV and the reasoning (if any) behind it. That
he runs away immediately he is held to task tells you a lot, both in
this and in all other claims he has made and run away from. He has
accused a media outlet of lacking credibility - ok, show evidence of that.

Left wing or right wing, doesn't matter. Take issue instead with the
claims made and *disprove* them. Start with the first one;

1 Cut $14 million from the national audit office, after that
office discovered substantial improprieties and wasteful
spending (such as the sports rorts, and paying 10 times too
much for land for the new Sydney airport).

Remember, it *started* with the sports rorts by the Libs and other
financial impropiety so there's the obvious motivation there from the
outset. It also wouldn't be the first time a *whistleblower* has been
screwed over for spilling the beans.

Unless you're going to supply it felix then you're as bad as Fraudster for

**700-odd deaths in federally controlled aged care facilities.
* Lack of proper containment facilities for overseas arrivals.
* Relying on one vaccine and ordering back-up vaccines too late.
* Giving huge chunks of money to companies that weren't suffering under
COVID restrictions.
* Not trying to claw back the money.
* Failing to introduce COVID mandates across the nation in a homogeneous
manner.

**See above. We are now saddled with a debt that dwarfs anything you
could even imagine Labor has given the nation. I notice that the
COALition has gone real quiet on the 'debt and deficit disaster' thing.
Why is that?

like I said to Clocky, I don't take any interest in politics these days.
what will be will be regardless of how much I care or know or not. and
my vote is worth nothing anyway as I'm in a safe electorate. I won't say
which one, or grubby will start scanning the electoral rolls. :)

What makes you think that the Federal Govt could have done anything
about that or that a Labor Govt would have done anything different?

That was and is a state issue unless the arrivals were into the NT or ACT.

BS, they ordered what they could get.

Agree they didn't do a great job there and were too generous but not
only with companies, individuals also got handouts they didn't need or
deserve.
What makes you think that Labor would have done differently or better?

> * Failing to introduce COVID mandates across the nation in a homogeneous

Another state controlled issue that the Feds couldn't have done anything
about even if they wanted to.

Agree the debt is unprecedented but so was the issue they faced so it's
understandable and our debt to GDP percentage is still a lot better than
many other countries.
https://www.ceicdata.com/en/indicator/australia/government-debt--of-nominal-gdp
Ours is currently 43.3% of GDP compared to Japan at 224.9%, the UK at
104.5%, the USA at 133.6% and Germany at 69.7%, India 56.6% and Canada
at 73.8%.
Faced with the same issues its very likely that a Labor Federal Govt
would done much the same as the Libs with much the same result
suggesting otherwise is nothing but a guess.

Then it is high time such powers existed in situations, such as a
*pandemic*, where there should be some provision made. The *import* of
the virus from overseas was quite clearly a *federal fail* that the
states had to ultimately deal with - like the Ruby Princess debacle for
example. As an *island continent*, Australia should have been well able
to deal with, not to mention *prepared* for, a pandemic. IIRC, Abbott
even cited the risk of a future pandemic long before Covid struck - yet
nothing was ever done. There weren't ever proper quarantine facilities
in place before or during the pandemic. Seems all the lessons learnt
from previous pandemics such as the Spanish Flu were all forgotten.

In the case of the Ruby Princess debacle, the passengers came from
*overseas ports* but weren't subject to *any form whatsoever* of
immigration checks. That is definitely a *Federal responsibility*. The
passengers just walked off the ship, then spread themselves and the
virus around the country. That is a *huge federal fail* if ever I saw one!

Nothing astonishes Noddy so much as common sense and plain dealing.

Lies? Not an unusual thing for the *fraudster without peer* of aus.cars.

In fact, the challenge is, and remains, to pick *any truth* in the
bullshit he utters. Darren's the ultimate in *concrete thinkers*!
Definitely a high silica content in his mix.

A concrete thinker like Darren won't ever be able to answer that one.

Yes, we have the absolute worst ever fiscal situation and no sign of
ever getting out of it in a generation, or two. Even a minor global
financial crisis could totally cripple this country and it isn't like
they are rare events.

**Absolutely NOT! However, NOTHING could be as bad as the idiots we have
in Canberra right now.

BTW: I am not a Labor supporter. Further and for the record: I would not
vote for Albo's weak, wishy-washy policies. Labor does not deserve my
vote. That said, a vote for that cretin, Scummo, and his band of
arseholes, is utterly unthinkable.

Labor is a bad choice. The COALition is worse.
