I remember the ads - but not in Tasmania. The reason - there were no
Esso service stations in Tasmania in the 60s and 70s. Probably still
none now. All we had were Mobil branded outlets (owned by Esso IIRC). I
didn't see an Esso outlet until a sojourn onto the *other island* in
early 73 and I do remember the ads from then.
