I left WA in early 1978 and haven't been back there since. Been to Perth
often during my time there, mostly at City Beach. It was a nice place
then and I'd expect it to be nicer now.

I was going to be with a bunch of friends tonight watching the Tszyu v
Inoue fight. Well, for medical reasons my doctor advised I avoid groups
until my 3rd Vax kicks in a bit stronger. Well, the 3rd Vax isn't even
going to happen until the 26th so the wife and I are watching it at
home. Just about to start. Sayonara until it's over! ;-)

We were out that way at a resort at Sebastopol near Ballarat in December
2019. We were in Melbourne for my student's PhD graduation at RMIT. On
the way back into the city, I dropped in on Bumhole on Bacchus and had a
look round. Yep, as bleak as ever with not so scenic views of the
absolutely flat landscape. Mesas are like that. Even got to see the high
fence around his neighbour's wrecking yard. As I was driving round the
area, wife asked me why I came to such an ugly place. I cracked up with
that, never did get to answer her question. ;-)

You would do better to drop in up here on the Mid North NSW coast, much
nicer territory, averages 30C in Summer, 20C in Winter. A pleaant
macroclimate that, it would seem, all Victorians love since the place is
50% occupied with Victorians, and not just retired Victorians either.

Bacchus Marsh, the old town, is in a valley and it is quite flat but
