It'll all be packaged and labeled products within the duty-free allowance so they'd need to be fishing for a reason to confiscate. I've heard of problems taking fresh foods across the border into the EU, but only shortly after we dropped out of the SM/CU, and nothing in the other direction.

That's what his mother thinks. We have asked him to be more 'flexible'
on his itinerary. London to Newhaven is going to be a fair old leg in
itself. Though he cycled to Brighton the other week (back by train).

The "batwing" was introduced in 1969, so there's a reason for that.

The horrendous RoadGlide fairing (frame mounted) didn't arrive until
1998, it seems.

The 2022 LowRider ST's fairing (an FXR reboot) is even worse.

The less said about the PanAmerica's fairing, the better, but at least
it's "different".

I had a quick google, if you're staying for less than 3 weeks, seems
pretty straightforward. I suspect the cost of the ferry outweighs the
cost of staying in hotels/B&Bs though.

That's one way though. He's doing the round trip, so 80ish. He trains
at a gym several evenings a week. He hasn't climbed or bouldered
seriously since he went to Durham but apparently the last time he did,
he could still do fairly hard bouldering routes. I'm sure each leg won't
be a problem but I wonder about sustaining it each day. He used to get
very winded on the odd occasion he did MTB races back when he was in his
early teens.

Certainly more of a sprinter than an endurance rider when it comes to
stamina motorcycle 'racing'. His longest non stop trip so far on a PTW
has been 1475 yards.
