Average mileage is 15k a year so 70k is above average. Not a lot
admittedly... unless you drive a Navara or Pathfinder where you could
easily be on your second engine!

Our 17 years old 'lux at 338,000km still doesn't have a tear in the seat...

On the YD25 engines Navara and Pathfinder they were known to break at as
little as 40,000km and with virtually no warning signs - and it wasn't
just the odd one - it was an epidemic.

More recently on the NP300 Navara the rear coil springs would collapse
before the first oil change was due - just more evidence that Nissan's
claim that they had let quality slip and were addressing it was just lip
service.

You mean a perfectly decent penis substitute.

I saw a TV program recently where they replaced the engine of a Maserati
with an electric motor, it actually improved the performance and there

Of course you won't keith. A Real Man of your extin... sorry, 'distinction'

Don't worry keith, as I don't think anyone was considering offering you

Lol :)

Only someone who knows absolutely *nothing* about cars would ever use
the words "Magnificent" and "Alfa" in the same sentence. I don't think
Alfa has ever made a "magnificent" car in the entire 100 odd years
they've been in business, and certainly they have *never* made anything
that could even *remotely* be considered reliable.

Their cars are appalling heaps of unreliable shit, and only a complete
moron would ever want to own one.

Typical of anything automotive Italian.

Two things the Italians do *awfully* well: Mens suits and coffee
machines. One thing they do *really* badly: Make cars.

They always have.

So you admit you're a member of the FLCJC and you're not offering Keith
membership. Well done! Pity your club is full of dicks.

There used to be a saying that everyone should own an Alfa at least for
a short time, I assumed that that was so that they would then know why
they shouldn't keep one:-)
Son was given an Alfa for next to nothing, it was a 147, only thing
wrong with it mechanically was the alternator which sounds simple but
apparently its a very big job just to remove and replace it so he didn't
think it was worth fixing, someone offered him a few hundred dollars for
it so he sold it.
I had a look at it to see if what they said about replacing the
alternator was true and I couldn't even find it, I googled it and found
it buried low at the back of the engine, by the look of it you had to
remove the exhaust and a driveshaft, no wonder a car that looked ok was
next to worthless.

In the last year before I moved here one of my neighbours in a unit next
door bought a black Alfa 147. I told him not to but he was an "askhole"
and went ahead and bought it anyway. In that last year the dealership
had it for *months* trying to fix it, with just about everything you
could imagine going wrong with it. Electrical issues, oil leaks,
transmission problems, you name it. He was lucky if he had it for 2
weeks at a time before it would go back for some fault or another, and
they would have it for a month or more trying to sort it.

He still had it when I left, and I don't know if he ever finally got it
sorted out but he *hated* the thing by the end of that first year.

Some could opine that there's two reasons for that.

But as I've said, being attacked for driving a mid-range, half-decent car
in a ng named "AUS.CARS" is just too surreal to take seriously.

Complete ignorance is only one ingredient of his latest hyper-stupidity.
Add in lies and baseless opinions to complete the steaming mess.

And a question! Is The Fraudster's compulsion to call people morons,
imbeciles, retards etc the result of him being referred to as such in his
formative years? Or his smouldering resentment of *anyone* who has more of
practically anything than he has?

Not surprised by that at all, from what I've seen its as much about how
difficult they are to repair as it is that they have problems that need
to be repaired.
Apparently the one my son had drove and ran quite nicely but it just
that the cost of repairs was more than it was worth.

They're just a cunt of a car period, and always have been.

The Italians are amazingly passionate & emotional people, but they lack
anything that remotely resembles organizational skill, and they have
absolutely *no* fucking idea how to build reliability into any machine.
Their metallurgy skills are average at best, their electrical
understanding makes 1960's Lucas equipment look like it was made by
NASA, and when it comes to designing and assembling cars they look like
the fucking things were done by mail order.

Seriously, if you look at most Italian vehicles from the most
ridiculously over priced exotics down to their basic everyday drivers
they all look like the major component design crews never knew about
each other's existence until it came time to put the car together and
then it just became a massive shitfight to see what goes where. With
lots of typcial hot headed Italian language and hand gestures no doubt.

They make great Pizza's, but they make thoroughly shithouse cars and
anyone who wanted to own one is either ignorant beyond belief or has
incredibly deep pockets and is willing to spend some time driving a "loner".

Very likely since even his own father dubbed him a "Noddy" at an early
age. 'fucking idiot' probably ran a close second. He should have adopted
that... 'fucking idiot of Altona'... yep, perfect.

Or his smouldering resentment of *anyone* who has more of
> practically anything than he has?
>

Yeah, anyone who is self-made (iow didn't bounce their head of hard
objects and claim a payout) is a target. Also why he feels the desperate
need so to grab the attention in every conversation and/or turn it into
a pissing contest as he pitches his fantastical delusions of grandeur
against the real world full of real people with real experiences.

He's followed the same formula for the last 20+ years even when every
smart bastard ever has smacked him back into his corner with a good dose
of reality. It's a sure sign of madness that he keeps trying the same
formula hoping for a different result.
