The former SWMBO told me recently that she's got to have the upwards
camera done to check out her interior. I told her it was a lot easier
these days than three or four decades ago when I had a similar
inspection, as that used a stainless steel tube that you didn't get to
see before it was put to use, probably because you wouldn't believe that
something the diameter of a toilet roll inside should be inserted where
the sun resolutely fails to shine.

We have a pair of foxen which visit our garden every night.
For all I know they (or their forebears) have done so for decades, but
we only learned about it when we put up trail cameras in the garden.

few badgers TAAAW. Plus the occasional cat.

One of my nay burrs has been feeding foxon with sauce ages for ages at
6pm daily. He usually gets a family of them sitting outside his window
waiting for it to open.

Then another nosey nay burr complained about it, and the manglement told
him to stop, which he has, being of timid nature.

But my nay burrs who live in the flat below me who feed hedgehogs just
shrugged their shoulders, and now they are feeding the hedgehogs and the
foxen. Seems hedgehogs and foxen get on quite well together.

I tried, but they were not interested. While what he was doing was
suspicious, it was not evidence of intent. He was not easily recognised,
as the camera was pointing directly down. Inconveniently, he did not
look up.

The trouble with foxes, greater blackback and herring gulls, and bears
(not in the UK, thankfully) etc is that they can become very aggressive
and threatening when they have not been fed 'enough'. Foxes back this up
with very sharp teeth and strong jaws. There are examples of children
bitten by foxes habituated to humans.

Hedgehogs also have smaller sharp teeth, do not seem to develop the same
aggressive tendencies. So I say, feed that hedgehog cat food (only wet
food) but definitely not milk.
