Actually, there's two problems with that number. In the U.S., the number
of Covid deaths is about 20% greater than the official number (in other
countries, like China, the actual number is several orders of magnitude
larger). In the U.S., Covid has killed about 0.29% of the population,
not 0.24%. See <https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-022-00104-8>.

Second, the number of infections is vastly undercounted since so many
cases among vaccinated individuals are so minor that they never get a

ignorant of the fact, I knew it, but I remembered it as being more fatal

I repeatedly _thanked_ Chris for finding that math error and I agreed with
that fact instantly (only a fool like Steve disagrees with obvious facts).

Sidenote: It's what the iKooks do day after day, which is how I know none of

My "belief system" is called Science.

I utterly fail to understand why you say "You base your entire belief
system on fear and fear alone." There is no truth in what you say, of
course.

I worry about the possibility of catching diseases with potentially
serious consequences, of course. I hope everyone does. But I don't
just spend my time worrying about them - if there is a reasonable
chance that I might get one, I get vaccinated, i.e. I follow the
science, as put forward by the scientists; then I get on with my
life.

I also urge others to get vaccinated against Covid. I consider it my
civic duty to do so, just as I consider it everyone's civic duty to
get vaccinated. Or, if they (contrary to logic) cannot be convinced
to do so, that they should largely keep themselves hidden away from
society so as not to endanger anyone (or themselves).

It's interesting that Novak Djokovic has just given an interview on
the BBC, in which he states he doesn't want to be vaccinated, and
