Then everyone doing that study is a fucking moron. I've only ever met the following types of people:

1) Homosexuals who openly admit they are and like homosexuals.
2) Homosexuals who pretend not to be, but they're not going to say anything abd about their own kind.
3) Straight people who don't mind homosexuals.
4) Straight people who hate homosexuals.

So, only 4) will say anything bad about homosexuals, and they're straight.

I accept you FEEL that way, but I will go with evidence.

Yeah me too, I rememebr in the early 80s when the Chelsea COP fan base were anti-gay,
and the police raided the home of the chelsea COP leader on a drugs charge and they found him in bed with
another man having sex.
A friends of mine was anti-gay used to go about saying look at those pooftas
and leaning out of car windows wolf whistling at girls and saying cor look at that.

He asked me why I don't do the same I said well that has never got me a girl-friend, so I think it but don't say it.
He thought men with long hair were all gay so had his hair cropped a bit like jimmy summerville

20 years later I met up with him and he is happly married to his boyfriend
and lives in Grimsby

Opera has a massive index, as big as the messages themselves. Eventually it takes too long to open the program, so I clear things out, it had an 8GB index last time I did it! But it does mean in a fraction of a second I type a word and all those messages appear. It also lets it filter things very easily, I can put anything containing the word penguin (or more often the name of someone I don't like) into a certain folder.

Yeah same as I do. Any newsgroup posts which are in reply to me, or in reply to reply to me etc, are in 1 folder. That's where I go first.

Bullshit. I don't feel different now to when I was 12. Maybe americans are slower to develop, which explains your higher age of consent.

These are a small number of morons. Every gay person I know either hid it but never said anything bad about other gays, or openly admitted to it.

Makes sense. I want that functionality. I will grant that most Usenet clients
on macOS suck. The one I am using sucks less than others for my tastes and
needs.

I'm currently running on a 32 hour body clock, beat that. Quite fun though having every "day" different. Sometimes it's dark and quiet, sometimes I see the sunset, sometimes I see the sunrise. Sometimes my neighbour doesn't like the loud music at my "midday".

Like what? If you're at home, why not use the computer?

Yes, it's a fucking mess. Sometimes I think people make things more complicated so they can sound clever. Like left wing folk using many long words.

It was always an issue. It was so cumbersome to find the two folders then drag.

How does PDF services change digging through folders?

You mean hovering on them to open each one? Ever tried that in windows? See the column on the left with the folder tree? You're just about to deposit your copied files into it, and the thing scrolls up or opens something and you lose the files somewhere. Even if Windows doesn't fuck up, the number of users who said to me they'd lost a file because they inaccurately used the mouse and dropped it in the wrong place. I like to get into the folder I'm going to paste it in, then paste it.

Talking of dragging stuff, ever put shutdown in the startup folder of an old mac?

Workflow. You'll be telling me to action something next.

Actually workflow isn't in my newsreader's dictionary!

I'm not sad enough to keep a diary.

That name "McIntosh" was already taken by an audio manufacturer so they had to change it.

not quite. jef raskin chose macintosh because of mcintosh labs,
however, the trademark was denied because both sound the same. apple
asked mcintosh labs for permission to use it, who said no. apple was
eventually able to get the rights to use macintosh before its release,
but that didn't stop mcintosh labs from suing anyway. apple ultimately
bought the rights to the trademark.

I have said I can see the value of the alternate way, but do not really find
it that cumbersome to open a folder, especially when with your method you
STILL have to open it.

With PDF Services, if there is a common folder you often want to save PDF
versions of websites or emails or whatever to, you do not even have to open
the folder. I showed this with the Receipts folder. No need to do the
"cumbersome" work of opening a folder, especially one that is buried a bit.

It eliminates the "cumbersome" work of having to dig down to the folder. I
showed this with the Web Receipts folder.

When you have a simple task (drag and drop, essentially) split into two
discreet tasks (copy, do stuff, then paste) you allow for people to get caught
up in another task.

You make more excuses for a lack of evidence than most. It is a skill!

Some of it is marketing, but there is also in ANY group going to be jargon to
help be more specific. Those not in the field will find it cumbersome and
confusing. This is true of tech, medicine, law, construction, ... pretty much
anything.
