You create your own rules (I have no issue with that) but then cannot
understand when others do not do the same or think the same. It shows a lack
of flexibility in your thinking.

If we had a discussion where you said you can show you can open a door in a
better way than I can, and I disagreed, it would make sense for me to show
you. At the very least I would describe in detail what I meant.

You just tossed in your white flag... but then wanted to be seen as having
"won". It really is that simple: you have your ego tied to Windows and will
not admit that macOS does something better.

But you weren't discussing showing something, you were discussing the ease of showing something. And your something was something that doesn't need to be shown.

No, I just have better things to do than spend more time than writing a sentence in response to you. You might notice you often write a paragraph and I write once sentence back. You remind me of a certain woman....

The original point was the ease at saving a receipt to a web receipts folder.
This can, of course, be done on Windows. Save it as a PDF, drag and drop (or
copy and paste). Or navigate in the save dialog. If you use it a lot you can
even add it as a favorite. It is not like this is a challenging task in
Windows.

The point was on macOS you can do those things, too, but there is an easier
method where I just "print" it to PDF and then use the PDF menu to put it
where I want. I can do this to preset folder (such as the web receipts) or to
ones I set up myself (such as my recipes folder). I can even have the PDF sent
to Mail or another app or sent to a script of my own design. Or one I find
elsewhere.

This is one area where macOS offers tools to make things easier where Windows
does not. Does not mean macOS is better in all areas -- as we have talked
about, the new window management tools in Windows are ahead of the default
ones on macOS. In that case it is pretty easy to get third party tools to add
onto macOS, but the point remains that Windows default is "better" for many
folks.

Above I write a bit to go into detail... but with the whole PDF saving you
have spent a LOT more time making excuses than it took me to show you what I
was talking about. Still not even sure if you understand.

Drag and drop is overrated.

It was a HUGE deal. Having to open the source and destination folder and get them both lined up and visible was ridiculous.

Way easier to go to the source, copy, go to the destination, paste. I do the same in a Word document, I don't this dragging shit.

Because Windows isn't complex to someone with three digits in their IQ. We need to delete those with 2 digits, they're dragging down society.

This is as bad as Android. How the fuck are users supposed to know if a Leopard is better than a Tiger? Why not just 10.1, 10.2, 10.3 etc?

When I were a young sexy fit lad at school, ok a young lad, there were mac classics and PCs. The Macs were shite. Black and white 9 inch screens for crying out loud! The BBCs were better. Good doorstops though.

The trouble is, with Anroid and MacOS, people refer to a Lollipop or a Tiger and I can't be bothered looking things up. What's wrong with numbers? Everyone knows 7 is more than 4.

My 7 PCs no longer do it. It's funny to see the more and more angry messages popping up. I do not want to reboot my fucking computers twice a week!

Why not spend the same then do a comparison, make some videos, write a big report, and publish it everywhere?

TITTER YE NOT!

About 15 years ago, many mac users boasted that Windows was full of viruses and Macs had none. I pointed out that was because the user base was so small there was no point in writing one.

I did like the comment from a programmer in one of the science projects I'm in. Apparently Apple's implementation of OpenCL for GPUs is incompatible with everyone else, so they can't be bothered re-writing for it.

there was and still is far less malware on macs, not because of the
size of the user base, but because it's significantly more difficult to
do.

writing windows malware is easy and very lucrative, so that's where
malware authors spend their time and profit from it.

that is false.

How the fuck is that easier? Why would you want to use "print" to save?

The defaults of curvy corners are not better.

It is odd to have the PDF functions in the Save dialog, though it makes sense
given how the system works in the background. But where else would you have
such a PDF menu... it uses all the same features.

And I showed you how it is easier... and then you waved your white flag. :)

They do not really impact functionality in any way I can see.

You show no sign of understanding. Same, really, with things like climate
change and Covid. Then you play victim over it.

User base was small but users tended to be wealthier -- so the incentive was
there.

Report on what?

I might do some videos on Windows if things jump out at me.
